Very nice and quite hotel with everything you need. The view from the pool is just great, the staff and especially the manager is very welcoming and helpful. He organized a beautiful fishing trip with a local guy. Afterwards the chef of the hotel prepared our catch and it was the best fish we had during our trip through Thailand - thank you for that. Breakfast is just great and the rooms as well. Nothing to complain and I think the picture speak for themself. Will come back one day;)

The staff are friendly, the food was delicious and the cocktails were really refreshing. The pool / view from the pool is what kept me coming back here. You can use the pool even if you’re not a resident here, just have to buy a drink or food from the menu.

Even after repeated visits (nothing else available)...Extremely poor service in an increasingly run-down facility - which poses a high risk of injury (see photos).Hello everyone,I'm actually someone who doesn't make big reviews unless it completely deviates from my own (website) representation. In the end, photos/pictures tell a thousand words, so see for yourself.I would also like to highlight the customer service as extremely bad during this stay. Charging 10€ for a watery filter coffee and a plate of dry rice as breakfast - with European room prices - is not the best way. In direct communication with the manager to suggest these things to him in order to change them All you get is a quarrelsome young man as a conversation partner.Very very sad :(

More beautiful place place on the island The infinite swimming pool on the ocean with the island in the back offers an amazing scenic view. One of the best in the worldAdvice to the owner: food and cocktails wants to be sophisticated but the taste is really missing. Do something about that.

The Mak is a fantastic small hotel! The rooms are very spacious, the beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are large and well maintained. …

Just come and stop by the coffee shop. Beautifully decorated place But you may have to walk to the room a little far.The coffee shop also has desserts. But the drink was a bit too sweet. The atmosphere is very good.

The most luxurious place on the island but doesn’t live up to the expectation. With the service and facilities, the resort is still far from being “luxurious”. I would give it 3 star max with their conditions.First of all, the breakfast is not great. Limited variety and use cheap ingredients to make. There’s nothing that makes you feel upscale about the breakfast. Some parts of the resort are left deserted. The beach bar, for example. There’s not much shades at the resort making it painful to walk around or use some facilities as it is too hot. The path from the restaurant/reception to the accommodation area for example. The grass was also dry. It doesn’t give the luxurious feel at all. It’s more like the place doesn’t give enough care or have enough resources to make it look better.Let’s talk condition of the room then. We stayed for 2 nights, the maid didn’t take away the old towels but gave us a new one instead. We ended up having many towels in the room, and they also forgot to give the hair towels. There’s also no trash can in the room.On the first night, a group of people were partying at the beach. They turned on the music, danced, and screamed at each other really loudly annoying other guests. My friend tried to reach out to someone at the hotel as she couldn’t sleep, but she couldn’t reach any one after calling all the 3 emergency numbers given. The hotel really does have a problem with having enough maids though that even the main area looks really bad. The restroom next to the restaurant, for example, seem to be used by many people overnight as toilet papers were all over the floor and the trash can was full, and it was still like that at the breakfast time. It was really dirty and disappointing. We also happened to need a bedsheet to be changed at night as it was accidentally wet. My friend happened to drop water on it. The maid was no longer there as her working hours was over, but the front also had no clue about what to do and seemed to wanted to leave us with the problem. I raised the subject again in person until a guy sitting next to it said he could handle it. The hotel needs to better address what to do in case of emergency with the condition of the staff they have. In our case, the impression that I got is that no one has a key to the room where the amenities are kept except the maid and the guests are on their own to solve the problem as the maid is no longer there. Did the hotel really expect me to sleep in a wet bedsheet? Really?Worst of all, I found a cockroach in the room. The end of it for me is the boat transfer service of the hotel itself. They have the main one and a smaller one. The smaller one was driven by a guy who is so careless. He seemed to “race” against the main boat and with the speed that he made, a lot of water came into the boat splashing at the faces of the passengers. For the experience, the hotel really need to add “want to be” in front of the phrase “the most luxurious”. That suits it better with ugly service and facilities.
