My stay at PP Red Tuna Hut was delightful. The rooms were decent, offered at the cheapest rates on the island. The food was delicious, and the tranquil location made for a peaceful retreat. However, it's worth noting that you have to pay extra baht for transportation to reach the hotel. If you're looking for a serene getaway on Phi Phi Island, this hotel could be the perfect choice.

Although Mr Tuna was very nice and I suspect that's why others gave good reviews, this is an honest review of the accommodations. PP Red Tuna is rated as a three-star hotel, that is not accurate. Closer to a one star hotel. The pros: air conditioning, a bed, operable toilet. The cons: No hand towels, no washcloths no soap, no bath mat, no bed side tables for personal belongings. Only one outlet in the entire room including the bathroom. The refrigerator had a plug that did not match the one outlet. Which is quite insulting to even put a refrigerator in there. No place in the bathroom for your toiletry bag except the back of the toilet. Is that what they call it a toiletry bag? The sink drained straight out on the floor so you're stepping in your toothpaste spit. The bathroom floor is the shower floor and the drain isn't in the low spot and doesn't drain, so your stepping in shower water to use the toilet. Large gaps around the door that leaks A/C out and leaks mosquitoes in. Large screened non-closable opening in bathroom to leak out A/C and leaks in hot humid air. Thin sheer curtains that let in the heat and light. We used the only two towels to try to block the heat. Fortunately the towels were dark although blood-stained and quite scratchy. The linens reaked of chemical perfume which I had not smelled any of the other Thai hotels we stayed in. The door had no knob so you had to slide bolt a latch from the inside or padlock from the outside to get it to stay closed. Nothing to set your luggage on except the floor between the bed and the wall. Which left a narrow path between luggage and bed. The bed was extremely hard, which is not unusual for Thailand, except you could actually feel the springs through the thin fabric of the mattress. Constant noise of mini scooters and music late into the night. All this is fine if you're okay with it but my biggest complaint is the inaccurate rating as a 3 star hotel, instead of 1 star.

The atmosphere of the place is great, the guesthouse is located at the beginning of the village, close to everything, the beach and a few nice places nearby. The rooms are large, the beds are big, there is water and air conditioning. The food was delicious, and a dragon came to the terrace for breakfast every day 😁

I confirm everything. The houses actually exist, but the air conditioning works. The interior is clean, equipped with a fridge, hot water and towels. The bed was comfortable. There are two beaches nearby and when the tide is out, you will reach nui beach.Tuna will actually pick you up at the port and drop you off. Additionally, he is a great cook and host. We are very pleased

One of the highlights of our 6 day journey through Thailand. Tuna handled our stay with care and always made sure our experience exceeded expectations. Tuna made sure the locals would give us fair prices on boat expeditions to maya island, he brought us to a local birthday party and he displayed great cooking skills (he earned a Michelin review). The location on Phi Phi island was also great as it enabled us to avoid the party going crowd and venture into more off the grid scenic locations (both beaches are idyllic). Overall thank you so much for your great hosting Mr and Mrs Tuna!

😊 the cleanliness of the premises, the location, the kindness of the boss, and the meals at the restaurant ♥️♥️♥️🙁 the reception from the manager was a little cold, the room a little dilapidated, waking up every morning with a boat starting right next to the room.

Mr Tuna is an absolute rockstar. He and his wife and family run this lovely hotel and restaurant at the island in Loh Bakao Bay. There is a nice story of how we luckily managed to meet him and eat at his restaurant . I had read so many reviews about it before we reached Phi Phi. We couldn't stay at their hotel due to date non-availability, and we couldn't eat at his restaurant for dinner since we had already eaten elsewhere. Was feeling kind of bad that we would leave Phi Phi without enjoying their food and hospitality. We had an early morning Snorkelling trip, and Mr Tuna and his wife graciously opened up their restaurant one hour before their usual time just to cook up a delicious breakfast for us. A massive yummy Tuna Sandwich ofcourse. He is so cheerful, cracking jokes and enjoying the amazing island life. Definitely do visit their restaurant if you're in Loh Bagao/ Bakao Bay in Phi Phi.

I've read a lot of reviews and I can't understand or understand the negative comments.Tuna is a kind-hearted man and his wife is just as kind-hearted. We were picked up at the harbor and taken by boat to the hotel near the beach. Of course it's not free as everyone thinks, but with another boat it's far more expensive. The rooms are just right, it's clean, the bed is great and the little garden is also very nice, you even have air conditioning. Tuna has his restaurant opposite and I have to admit, it is the best here on Koh Phi Phi!!!!Personally, I have absolutely nothing to complain about and neither do my partners. You can do laundry here, you have a warm shower, everything is close by.If you ask Tuna what's best to do, he'll be happy to help.P.s.: always happy! We'll definitely see each other again

Best value for money, close to bar, shops and beach🌊🌴To avoid paying the boat 1200bath round trip per person🤑!!!Only one solution; Cross the jungle for 2 hours on a fast trekking😅😅😅 or 3 hours on a fitness walk😅Simply climb the stairs via viewpoints 1, 2 and 3 for 1km (you can catch your breath during the photo poses)Then go back down 4km through the jungle with your GPS.Leave around 3:15 p.m. to arrive before dark 🤠!
