Central location - walking distance from most sites and opposite the night market. There are also a couple of other night markets a few streets down selling food specifically. Staff are friendly. The room is large and well appointed, and mine had a balcony. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style. I would still suggest it is overpriced for what it offers.

I came to Vientiane to apply for a Thai visa and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and warm. The hotel is on a main road but a block away from the main traffic area, and I wasn’t bothered at all by any street noise. I have to mention the pillows because they’re the best I’ve ever slept on and I’d love to know how to purchase some of my own. Buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious! So many choices.The Thai consulate was easy to travel to from the hotel and cost on a tuk tuk was reasonable (tuk tuks can be found in streets adjacent to the hotel entry). But the hotel does have a very nice car to travel in. It’s a little more expensive but not by much. Definitely the best option on a rainy day or for extra comfort. A lovely way to spend time between visa application and passport return is a trip to Buddha Park!A note on foreigner pricing… At Buddha Park they are very clear that they charge more for foreigners, it’s just the way it is. The tuk tuk drivers are mostly trustworthy, as are the stall owners at the night market. But I would avoid the day market! Nearly every store owner in there pestered me with obscenely high prices.. an awful tourist trap. But I digress. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room was large and spacious and very clean. It had an android TV so we got some real international news. The bathroom was also of a 5-star level except that the shower area is level with the rest of the bathroom floor so the area in front of the toilet gets wet. The glass divider is also too short to prevent water from splashing out. There are no bedside lamps so you have to switch off the lights at the door. Since it's on the main road, it's right across from the very loud and noisy night market which opens till 11pm. The view of the Mekong is pathetic. Breakfast is a very good buffet mostly catering to locals and Chinese. You get to order a hot dish as well which was a nice touch. Staff are very polite.

Recommended on April 25, 2024.Clean rooms , breakfast ㅇ . Wi-Fi is the best.There is no swimming pool or gym. It's a little disappointing, but it's okay. There are many saunas nearby.There are some rooms with bad views.

The facility is clean as it is newly built.There is only one hotel card key, so you have to take it out when going out. However, I spoke to the front desk staff and they said that if I leave the key in, turn on the air conditioner and go out, they will open it with the master key when I come in, so I went out like that.It's right in front of the night market.

Riva Vientiane is a great hotel in the heart of the city. Vientiane night market is just across the road. The friendly staff make you at home, and the breakfast was great, very much like in a 4/5 star hotel. |The room rates were reasonable and it was value for money.

I didn't stay here but I found the best coffee outside of Canberra, Australia. It's a quality cappuccino served with a friendly smile by the staff. If your looking for a great coffee in Vientiane you can't go past this one. You'll enjoy it and leave satisfied

Great location in the centre of the night market and by the Mekong River. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice coffee shop. Breakfast was really good, lots of variety and clean. Would 100% stay there again.

The location is good, opposite the night market.Staff were all very friendly.Breakfast was ok, the coffee wasn’t great.The room really needed a good clean the floor was filthy and the sheets not great.

Had 4th floor river view room. Excellent sunsets. Huge Night Market right across street. Entertaining action and closed by 2300pm. Manageable noise level. Lovely breakfast set up. Very courteous staff.
