I feel sorry for leaving this comment but I feel like I have to tell other people. This hostel needs to do a pest control. Although the bedbug problem is not too bad, travelers with serious allergies should be aware of this.

This place has changed its name to Smile Hostel. Decent accommodations at a low price. Has a kitchen and a fridge which you can actually use, Well managed and kept clean and secure. If you want to maximize your budget and have a pleasant hostel experience, this is a great choice. I stayed here for 4 months, and they treated me like family.

Accommodation in the heart of the city. Clean rooms. Choose from male and female dormitories. There is air conditioning and a fan. Close to the airport. Convenient transportation. There are cars for rent and recommended travel programs. The most worthwhile.

'City Capsule Hostel' doesn't exist despite a big sign over the door with the name, we booked online and our deposit was taken but when we arrived and contacted the hostel which has since changed its name to 'Smile Hostel' we were told that they were full, that our booking would not be honoured, and that we had booked a different hostel. We asked if this could be changed online to prevent others from making bookings that could not be honoured and were told no. Would not recommend booking anything under the City Capsule Hostel name as it doesn't exist and wont be honoured.

Located in the old city area, inner moat, quiet, the owner takes good care of you, you can check in when on the shoulder if the bed is ready, easy to carry.

First of all, there were no guests (I think there have been no guests for a while). I arrived in the evening, so I left my luggage for a while and came in early in the morning, so I didn't check the room condition, but it was really full of dust and bugs, and there were bed bugs, and the smell was really bad. If I had seen it earlier, it would have been like a different place. I think it's like that ㅠㅠ I couldn't sleep at all, so I stayed for about 5 hours, and when I checked out, I said there was too much dust and bugs, and the staff said they always keep it clean. And the price is very cheap, so if you're going to do that, they tell you to go to a good hotel next time, but really pay more and go to a good hotel. ^_^ ^ I checked out and bought coffee, but it cost more than a day's room fee. Instead, drink less coffee and go somewhere nice.

Very nice beds with curtains and lockers, the girls working there are very nice and helpful. Great location and value for money. Loved my stay there. The only problem is the bathroom doors ALL open to the inside which means you cannot open the door if you sre overweight as you can't fit inside the tiny bathrooms

I guess they have 2 branches in Chiang Mai, but the one where I was, near Wat Chedi Luang was really bad. I was in a 8-dorm room and I have to say that this was the worst hostel I have ever been to. No key, no locker (ny wardrobe was broken), no proper check-in or check-out (the owner did not even check if it is me and he was not there when i was checking out). The bathroom smell was horrible and I got so many bites during the night. I assume there were bedbugs...so hot and wet in the room. I am sorry but I would never come back again...for this price I found much better places..

Good location in the city centre near everything.The hostel on itself was a bit dirty, during my stay was a leek from the ceiling in to the toilet for 2 days. I let the owner know but he didn't do anything. In the shower was no hot water for all my stay.This hostel offer a lot of excursion at really advantageous price, extra he offers other advantages if you book with him.

The man behind the office is super nice!!! But I didn't like the toilets and bathroom. You pay cheap you get cheap.. It was out of date bathrooms. The shower. Was falling all the times on the floor. And the toilet door was made verry cheap. And there wasn't a good Vibe.

This place is awesome! I stayed here for 4 nights with my friend. It's close to the night Market and the good bars in town.
The owner is probably the friendliest owner I've met on my whole trip, he will definitely help you with everything if you have any questions.

Not the most private, and a few things don't work or aren't there (hot water broken in a couple of showers, some doors don't have locks, not all beds have fans, etc).They also don't provide any bathroom supplies (only toilet paper, which you shouldn't use anyway...but no soap or towels). There's a small kitchen you can use.It's a really great price, the bed capsules have enough space for storage, air con is good, and Mun is a very nice helpful guy :)
