Cape Panwa is our second home! We have stayed here on five occasions and this year we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at this wonderful location. …

I’d say Cape Panwa Hotel is a four star hotel. The rooms are very dated. Our bathroom had a lot of mould in it, the balcony furniture was all broken. Even when the weather was good and sea calm, they never wanted you to use the free beach equipment. Breakfast was ok - 4 star standard.Alcohol and food was very overpriced - always +17% service charge and +10% tax. Walk down the hill - so many nice restaurants and bars and 99% cheaper.I’d say by all the images on the wall, it’s more of a package hotel used by Russians (perhaps only this time of year).Staff do a good job and the grounds are very nice. All in all, ok stay. 😊

Positives:- Nice private beach- Food is decent- Rooms are spacious- Shuttle service to cape panwa town (free)Negatives:- Far away from anything - the hotel does have a shuttle service at a decent price. Nevertheless you won't get anywhere without taking the shuttle or a grab... For younger people who want a bit of nightlife (bars and/or clubs), don't book here but take the western side of Phuket.- Super overpriced. Drinks are about 2/3x the value that you would pay anywhere else AND they charge you a whopping 10% "service fee". We made it a sport to spend as little Baht here as possible. Rather take the free shuttle and go to the Sawasdee restaurant! Other guests tend to buy alcohol at the local shop in the village and drink it at the beach or at the pool.- The service, which you have to pay 10% for, isn't all that great. Not talking about the reception people, They do their best to help and understand.

Great if you're the all inclusive resort type and you want to just stay at the resort. Ala carte is expensive compared to local restaurants. I recommend venturing out to try local cuisine and hire a driver to take you around. Much cheaper that hotel activities and transportation.
