Had an amazing week at this villa. It was so so beautiful. The whole experience was excellent but the best were the staff. They made our time so special. We can't thank them enough. The food was amazing (enak) and the bid smiley faces every time we saw them. A big big Suksmaaaaa

If you would like a private 5 star glamping experience we highly recommend as Shamballa Moon was a very comfortable base to explore from. There are two villas on this property Shamballa is larger but does not have aircon however very open and breezy. Sham Moon is a smaller villa but it has aircon in the bedroom which was wonderful as while we were there in October it was 34 ++ and humid during the day and cooler but still very humid at night. We had a wonderful relaxing stay and were there for 7 nights. The swimming pool was so refreshing, every afternoon after exploring the area we cooled down and relaxed in the area as the view is very pleasant. Breakfast was served by attentive, friendly and gracious staff. On a couple of days we got up very early to explore or do activities and the staff were happy to leave food in the fridge for us to help ourselves. Every evening when we returned from dinner the bed had been set up and mosquito coils placed around the villa.It is about 15-20 minutes drive from Ubud depending upon traffic and as it’s in a semi rural area electricity and water supply can be cut off. The staff are good at communicating time frames for them to be restored. Highly recommend bringing wipes in case it’s longer than expected so you can still refresh yourself.The stairs are a challenge due to steepness particularly if you have knee issues.

Absolutely wonderful. The Villa itself is spacious and has a nice view. What ma dress this Place memorable for us was the team who supports the Villa. They are on site day and night for anything you need. We don’t usually need much so we didn’t think it would be that big of a deal but a few times we were craving a snack and the kitchen whipped something up for us. The breakfast was delicious and they always turned on the lights so we didn’t come home to a dark house. They are wonderful!!!!

The was the first time I stayed out of a resort in Bali and I am now sure I will never stay in a resort again!The place was as huge and as private as all the photos suggest.We loved the open air feel.We had breakfast each morning provided for us and we also had dinner one night in the villa. It was lovingly prepared by the staff and it was delicious.We had a couple of great massages (also organised by the staff).It’s not a short walk into the centre of Ubud but easy enough to get around.Thanks to the staff (Illuh, Kadek, Komang and Wayan).We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility, luxury and service.

Villa Shamballa is a mini heaven. It is beautifully built with a lot of open and free space for sitting etc. It has one of the largest infinity pools that I have seen attached to a personal villa. the infinity pool and the bed room window over looks greens and jungles. the villa has a beautiful open to nature bathroom which is fun to take a bath in.The caretakers of the property are very friendly and always helpful.the only reason why I have not given it 5 *s is because the villa is slightly difficult to approach and pretty easy to miss as their were no signs etc. on the main road.

We stayed here as the last part of our honeymoon for 4 nights and it was perfect. Very private, the staff are extremely helpful and incredible cooks!! Lots of geckos around which we expected but very few bugs despite it all being open! Very close to Ubud and Wayan was always on hand to be your taxi when needed. Would definitely come back and stay here. Massages & Mojitos are great too.

Exceeded my expectations in every way. We went for a week for our honeymoon and would do it all over again! Iluh, Wayan, and the rest of the staff are truly exceptional... took top notch service to a new top notch. Highly recommend staying here while in Ubud, Bali.
