I'm horrified!! I was prepared for a cozy cave, but I had to convince myself otherwise, but more on that later... when I entered the guest house there was no sign of an employee anywhere. After 10 minutes we reached him and he came. The good gentleman was very friendly and helpful and, as I read in some reviews, also very eloquent when it came to the English language! The guest house was equally nicely designed. Well, that's all said and done, let's get to the criticism: The kitchen wasn't particularly diverse... well, it was a bit sniffing around for all sorts of things, since everyone stores their things there without paying attention to the best-before date... well, that wasn't so bad, but let's come to the rooms: Oh dear! I entered the room and was greeted by a cloud of scent... a fitting description of the smell: musty-gaseous-thick... flickering lamps and mold on the mattresses left us in shock! However, the beggars were surprisingly comfortable, but this spot of mold haunted me in my dreams... and anyone who thought that was enough of the mold can now hold on! The bathroom was spotted green! I refused to shower for the first time in my life and as a civilized person I don't do that! It was possible to avoid the mold, but the presence of these green spots terrified me... I also have to criticize the cooperation of the other guests... after 0 the toilet always smelled like cheese feet... whoever was supposed to cut their toes Please clean this up again... Well that was my criticism after all the points I noticed why the owner wasn't at the reception. That's exactly what I would do if I were him.

First day and I come across a flickering lamp that is reminiscent of the scary Intendo game Luigi's Mansion. Also, the showers are a little used and stained green (but not all places, just a few). The guy at the counter was nice though and his English was at B2 level, which is again a plus (because of communication). I hope I can get a little more excited about the hostel tomorrow (no hate to the guy at the counter).Edit: after staying for 2 days, I unfortunately have to say that I can't understand all the positive reactions and comments about this hostel. Did you take a look at the mold-covered showers, sinks, air conditioners and mattresses in the room or did you just miss it? The smell alone clearly indicates this. There are now not only a lot of people living in this hostel, but also animals (especially insects in the pipes of the sinks). What's more, even though I showered with my own slippers, there is still swelling on my foot. I am absolutely speechless. If you are a fan of the color green, you might really like this hostel.

I am really surprised by all these positive comments. Either people have stayed somewhere else or they have very low cleanliness standards. For my part, I found the hostel in a deplorable state: everything is disordered and dirty. The toilets, especially the showers, are simply horrible. There is no staff to ensure cleaning, and the common areas are in a terrible state. Sure, it's not expensive for Seoul, but I was expecting a simple, clean place, not a pigsty. The hostel boasts of having had a very good rating in 2015 (according to the booking posters hanging around the establishment), but nine years later, it's a completely different story. For those, like us, who rely on the comments, I am attaching photos to illustrate the situation. I will no longer waste my time with this type of hostel which makes no maintenance effort.

The location is located in Yeonnam-dong, Hongdae. It takes about 10 minutes to walk out of Exit 3. The location is perfect!This time I booked a 4-person room for 4 nights and a 2-person room for 3 nights. Due to a delay in my trip, I checked in late. I originally booked a room for 4 people on the first night, but was upgraded to an eight-person room when I checked in. Although the room was larger, Compared with other two-person rooms and the originally booked four-person room, the cleanliness is worse.Because a friend joined temporarily, he did not stay here on the first night, but happened to be moved to an 8-person room. I temporarily reported to the B&B whether an additional person could stay, and the B&B agreed and added one person free of charge.I accidentally discovered that there is a B R E A D Y P O S T coffee bakery on the right side of the B&B. If you can’t eat London bagels, you can consider this one. The bread is a bit like a smaller version of London bagels🥯Overall, the C P value is still very high, and I will stay here if I have the chance.

Very good location. Close to the subway and many restaurants around. The quality of the hostel is ok. I means, for European standards it is very clean and quiet. But I would say it is average. If you need a bit of money saving. Go there. I slept good and never felt uncomfortable

UWA is my home ❤️ I've been living here for 7 months and I wouldn't choose any other place.The owners (Nami and Jaeho) are the most heart-warming people ever, they are like family.The guesthouse is located 3-4 blocks from Hongik University station, which is always a great deal, and you are a walking distance from Hongdae, Hapjeon and Sinchon.The place is super cozy and homey. They have a kitchen with every kitchen supply you need, a washing machine and fridge you can use.Love this place 🖤
