Not a fan of this hostel and am looking forward to checking out. On arrival first impressions were the beds are not clean , my sheets were covered in yellow stains and random hairs . We have a private double room but have to share 1 bathroom and shower with a mixed dorm so there are always queues for the shower and toilet so you would not need to be in a rush!! The bathroom is also not clean due to its high usage and because toilet paper cannot go down the toilet there is always a full bin of used toilet paper which is disgusting (at a minimum they could put a lid on the bin so we don't have to look at other people's shit) overall not at all a nice experience. We could also not store our bags here after checking out and the best option we were given was the alley outside the front door which I thought they were joking at first. I would definately not come here and pay that bit extra for a nicer place as it's just not worth it

This hostel is remotely managed so if a problem arises, you have to contact the team via messaging apps. There is CCTV so it’s very secure to leave your items outside the door before and after check-in.I stayed in the co-Ed dorm with 6 beds. I enjoyed the privacy curtain. There is a full kitchen so that’s very convenient for making meals. Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes during my visit (May). You can leave your belongings outside.I stayed in the 6 Bed Mixed Dormitory for 2 nights!Pros:-Cheap! On agoda, it was around $10 per night.-Great location near everything Hongdae and public transport-Quiet street-All amenities included (full shower, microwave, fridge, hairdryer, fresh towel, shared house slippers)-Warm fluffy duvet blanket-Privacy curtains on bunk bed-Coat rack for jackets-Self service check in, fully remote, the host will message with the Door Password at 3 pm on date of check in-Can leave luggage in outside lobby before and after check out-I think the cleaners come daily as I saw them in the morningsCons:-Windows do not have screening so mosquitoes can easily get in (luckily I came during low-mosquitoes so this was not a problem but judging by other reviews, I can understand why so many bugs can come with open windows and now screens to prevent them entering)I would recommend keeping the windows open to prevent it from getting stuffy my as 6 people are sleeping in the same room. But if there are mosquitoes don’t do it!! It’s nice to have a full kitchen if you plan on cooking and storing the food there.Thanks High Street Guest House!
