My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. I used this hotel several times a year and loved it. Since the price is reasonable, I usually stay during the off-season, but since I was tired from work, I knew it would be expensive (more than twice the off-season), but I decided to stay at Okuma from 8/20 to 2. Booked a plan that included breakfast and lounge for one night. I thought it would be nice to go to a local restaurant once in a while, so I didn't choose the dinner option, but on the day of the trip, I was having trouble getting around, so I asked the front desk if it would be possible to change the reservation to include dinner, but they couldn't do it here. Although I was dissatisfied with the fact that he asked me to ask him at the restaurant, I didn't say anything. . . After that, I was guided to my room and told the front desk that I didn't need to clean the room (if I didn't clean it, I would get a 1,000 yen voucher to use the facility), but they didn't tell me when I would get the voucher. . . Afterwards, we made reservations for dinner at Surfside Cafe for the second night. On the day of the reservation, I went to the Surfside Cafe and told them my name and room number, but they said, ``We don't have any reservations.'' I explained that I was sure to make a reservation, but they said, ``We don't have any.'' I was reluctantly shown to a seat, but ended up sitting in the corner where the meat was being grilled, the busiest seat (even though it was empty). Frustrated, when I checked the slip, I realized that the room number was incorrect, so I told a staff member nearby, saying, ``I was told at the reception that I didn't have a reservation, but the receptionist misheard,'' but she said, ``I don't understand.'' "I'll let you know," he said via intercom, but no one apologized or changed seats (all the staff there heard, right?).Normally, the staff member or site manager who accepted the call would apologize or change seats, right?I don't want to get into trouble, so I put up with it (why should I put up with it?) and finished my meal and went to checkout. The staff member who received the request earlier responded but didn't apologize (I still put up with it...angry). Frustrated, I gently told them that I would like to use a ticket to use the facility since I would be checking out the next morning, but they said they couldn't use it because they didn't have it in their possession. When asked, "Where can I use the voucher since I am not given the voucher until checkout?""You can use it tomorrow at the convenience store," he said, reluctantly asking for a discount (why not just ask the front desk?) and having it charged to the room instead of paying on the spot. . . The next morning, after breakfast, I went to the front desk to pay the bill before checking out and paid a high price that did not match the service. At that time, I mentioned the ticket for use inside the facility, but I was told again that it could be used at a convenience store, which made me nervous, but I held back and asked for it to be deducted from the bill, and received approval. I was so angry that I gently told her, ``I don't want to say it because I've used it several times a year and it's been good so far, but something like this happened to me,'' but while I was talking, the middle-aged female staff member kept smiling from beginning to end. With a sales smile, he didn't apologize until the end, and responded with an impossible answer, ``I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, so I'd like to let you know.'' (There was no sign of fear at all). Frustrated again, I wrote down the details of the incident on a handwritten envelope addressed to the manager that was in the room. When I looked at it, there were fields for my address, name, phone number, and email address, so I filled them all in. (You can tell by the room number, right? If you let them fill in that much, you'll definitely get some kind of response from the manager, right?)1 It's been over a month now and I haven't received any response. Why is there an envelope addressed to the manager? What was the purpose of writing personal information??? The response is so disappointing that I decided to post it here, but I don't really mean it (and my real name is is). It's really disappointing because I liked the hotel. . .
