Strange policy of this hotel. There's a typhoon in Japan right now and the plane is cancelled, but this hotel doesn't do cancellations! Three days before arrival 50% cancellation. I made a cancellation three days before my stay but they charged me 80% of the amount ! Is this the kind of hospitality in this hotel? I would not recommend this island to anyone!

You can see Ichimura Tanaka's fusuma paintings. The moon peach oil massage was a great way to get rid of the fatigue from your trip, and it's a hotel I'd like to stay at again.Starry sky, sunrise, and ocean view are recommended if you are staying overnight.

September 2023There was a female staff member at the restaurant, but she spoke Japanese and it was difficult to understand the explanation of the meals, which was a bit disappointing. The Japanese breakfast is substantial for the price.I would like to see something done in a less troublesome atmosphere.The male staff who greeted us at the front desk was very kind.Next time, I think I'll book a room facing the sea.The public bath opens at 6:30 in the morning, and you can also use it before breakfast at 7:00. The sauna and open-air bath were closed.It is conveniently located about 20 minutes by rental car from the airport.I was told to make a dinner reservation by 8:00 pm the day before, but I was told that I could make the reservation on the morning of the day. That's what I thought after all. In Amami Oshima, I feel that it is basically better to eat at the hotel. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it's a good place to spend a relaxing time with your family.Even in a busy area, it is better not to imagine the city center. There is no downtown area like Kokusai Street in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. Amami Oshima is an island where you can enjoy nature to the fullest.

I stayed here with my family of 7 during the sea holidays. I had been dreaming of visiting Amami Oshima ever since it was registered as a World Heritage Site, so my long-awaited visit came true. Artworks were displayed throughout the hotel, and the ``Ichimura'' room was decorated with lithographs, giving it a lovely atmosphere. We ate at a three-course restaurant, and all of the dishes were very delicious, using plenty of local seafood and fresh vegetables. The lineup of wine and brown sugar shochu is also great. I was able to enjoy delicious food and sake while looking out at the sea of Amami, so I was able to spend an unusually happy time. We also enjoyed activities unique to Amami, such as dyeing experiences and snorkeling. The customer service was mediocre, not the same quality as a luxury hotel, but the requests I expressed were met, so I have no complaints. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned during my stay, so I was very uncomfortable from the second day onwards. The guide said, ``Please let us know if you need it.'' Although I often see "If you don't need it, please let me know," but this is the first time I've come across an operation that says "Basically no cleaning is required, but if you need it, let me know." I clean my house every day, so I was dissatisfied that I had an unpleasant experience at the accommodation I visited to enjoy an extraordinary experience. Nowadays, there are some hotels that operate like this for some reason, such as for the environment, but I think the actual situation is a lack of staff and cost cutting, so I personally think that the solution would be to raise prices. . That was a shame because everything else was great.

This is a hotel you should definitely stay at when you come to Amami. The building itself seems old, but it has been thoroughly renovated. I was satisfied with the design of the room, the quality of service, and the deliciousness of the food. On a negative note, I felt that the bath was very old. However, there is a sense of satisfaction that outweighs that.

It was a very good hotel.I was on Amami Oshima with a child under the age of 1, and the hotel had baby-friendly services such as a baby bed.My older child seemed to really like this hotel and wants to stay there again even after several years.It's not a flashy pool, but it's well-maintained, and at night there was a carefully prepared menu.My husband also wanted to surf, so he would go to the surf spot from the hotel every morning and enjoy surfing.The hotel was in a good location, close to Tomori Beach.

The building is beautiful. The customer service was the worst. Mistakes in ordering and loss of personal information. When I pointed this out, he interrupted me with a high-pressure tone and got angry. It didn't seem like a "hotel". There were a few employees who provided decent customer service, but overall their awareness was low.

I was very satisfied with the quality, which exceeded the price. Breakfast and dinner were made with local ingredients and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Swimming is prohibited on the beach in front of you, but you can play on the shore. The elementary school children were absorbed in looking for hermit crabs and various other creatures. I would definitely use it again. It's a shame that the only bath is an indoor bath and has no special features, but considering the price, it doesn't bother me at all.

We stayed for 3 nights in an ocean view room. The view was great, the amenities were perfect, and the staff were all very kind and comfortable. There was a large public bath, but it had everything I needed, so I was grateful to go there empty-handed and take a bath. After all, it's food! Both breakfast and dinner were healthy medicinal dishes that were really delicious, and I was very satisfied with the attention to detail in the tableware and coloring.

Stay for 3 nights in a standard ocean view room with breakfast and dinner included.Located on a hill along a rocky beach, you can quietly enjoy the beautiful scenery.The food is very delicious. All of the dishes are made using Amami ingredients and cooking methods, and it's fun just listening to the explanations. They also have a wide selection of local drinks.There are two types of breakfast and three types of dinner + BBQ, which you can choose a few days in advance.Although it is located in the northeast and has good access to the airport, most of the activities that can be enjoyed on the island are located southwest of the center of the island, and it takes 1 to 2 hours each way by car each day.The toilet and bathroom were separated, but my wife said the fact that the sink and bathroom were separated by a curtain was a negative point.

There is only the sea in front of you. The sound of the waves and the view were very good. I was able to enjoy the sunrise, a walk on the sandy beach, and the starry sky, and I had a relaxing time.
