We had a lovely time at this ryokan! We have extremely limited Japanese but with the help of technology that was not an issue. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Great location plus they have rental bikes to get around. The breakfast was delicious with variety and generous portions.

There were some points that I was concerned about regarding my stay at the inn.I don't want to write a bad review, but it was too much.First of all, there seemed to be a slight mistake in the room information, so we ended up waiting for about an hour. There was one washing machine, and I used it, but the waste tray was full of garbage. When I washed it, there was a little bit of what looked like garbage from the laundry tub attached to it. It looks like the tank has never been cleaned.Regarding the bathroom environment, the water pressure was low, and although there were 4 sinks, I was concerned that when I used hot water, the water pressure at the other faucets decreased even more. It was fine when I was using it by myself, but I think it would be a problem if more than one person was using it.A wall fan was left untidy in the bathroom.Several winged ants were seen in the room. It doesn't cause any harm, so it's not a problem, but it may be a little bothersome.I can't say that the cleaning is thorough either. There are small spider webs inside the room. There was a TV in the room, but it didn't show any terrestrial TV. I was curious as to why it was installed. Did it show up if it was BS?There is free Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak and unusable in some rooms. I couldn't use it in the room I stayed in.Although it's a minor issue compared to the above, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find the yukata obi in the amenity box. This time it was used by two men, so it might have been better. Not recommended for couples at all.

Traditional accommodation on the shores of Lake Yamanakako, clean rooms but futons a little hard. Good location!

Highly recommended to all travellers. The staff here are super nice and super friendly. I booked the tatami room with breakfast and the breakfast portion and super huge so I'm sorry that I really couldn't finish even the rice portion already reduce half. The room is clean, there is laundry machine free of charge. The shower place is Japanese style shared bath with shower. The ryokan is not located beside the lake but it just 15mins walks or few mins by bicycle. You can rent the bicycle for ¥2000 for the whole day which is much cheaper then outside. The quality of the bike is good too.

Stayed here for one night during our two day one night stay around Mt. Fuji. We wanted a traditional ryokan experience for a brief part of our week long trip to Japan, and this definitely lived up to expectations! Unfortunately, our travel agent forgot to book us the traditional room (futons) and we were given standard rooms, but that was alright! They were spacious, and comfortable. The location is great - quick walk to the lake and bus stop. The Zeit Bakery across the street is absolutely worth checking out!

Two-night stay for two people in a traditional room.Surprisingly, we slept very well on the futons. On the other hand, big disadvantages of not having a toilet or shower in the room. Indeed, toilets are shared on each floor. And the showers are those of the Onsens, only available on the ground floor. You can have breakfast on site at 8:00 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. We are served a traditional breakfast with tea and a cup of coffee. If we don't like the menu, there is a bakery cafe right across the street. The sound insulation is not great. From 7:30 in the morning, you can hear people getting up and the sound of the vacuum cleaner in the hallway. It is best to go to bed early. On the property side, we note that the rooms are a little old in the sense that the cupboards and doors could probably do with a little repair. The entrance to the hotel is a little dirty in the morning, which can be considered normal given that this is where we take off our shoes to put on the slippers provided by the hotel. The staff is helpful and attentive but not everyone speaks English. When we arrived, we found a woman who spoke absolutely no English. Difficulty in communication, we used Google Translate to communicate. The hotel can reserve taxis for its guests, please advise the day before. It's difficult to do it yourself since the taxi booking apps are entirely in Japanese.Otherwise, there are buses around the lake. Very punctual. You can easily find the lines and stops on the internet. As for the restaurant, I personally recommend going down to the lake. It's a bit far but there are plenty of choices. The view of Mount Fuji is spectacular. Big plus ➕.Overall, good stay.
