Canadian here so sorry my friendly Japanese friends but for my first onsen experience, this hotel was awesome! My girls family gets a rebate for living in ota-ku so we all stayed there for a night. I tried the outdoor and indoor baths (showered first of course, you need a clean body before going in any of these) and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am not a fan of sea food so I wish there were more choices at the banquet and I wish there was less elderly people there but overall the ambiance and the people there were incredibly polite. You hear small waterfalls and smell the forest when you open the sliding door and sleep on traditional Japanese futons in a renovated but old style room. The bathroom is typical of Japanese bathrooms in that it includes the toilet with the washlet and is of course impeccably clean. I would give this hotel 100 stars by Canadian standards but I suggest everyone should go at least once in their life!

I went with my friend. The hotel is in front of a river. The rooms were clean and huge. You will probable need a car because of the location. This place is good for groups on vacation or families. I wouldn't recommend it for couples.

Stable forest resort quality. Even though people from other countries are working there, such as Nepalese staff, their communication skills make you feel at all anxious. polite. I think the guidance and management provided by the man who seems to be the owner is also good. There were mosquitoes in the room, and when I went to borrow some insecticide, it happened that they didn't have any, so they went out of their way to buy some for me. Everyone is kind. The interior is beautiful as it has been renovated. Although the building is old, it is well-maintained and comfortable to stay in. The air conditioner didn't have any smell so I felt safe.We discussed the menu in advance, and since there was one person who could not eat meat, we were able to change the menu to fish. The food is delicious and the children are very satisfied. We also enjoyed karaoke. The manga corner was my favorite. There was also a children's space where small children could play, so I thought adults could watch over their children while reading manga. It seems like Forest Resort has a lot of other places, so I think I'll go somewhere else. I would like to thank the owner for taking good care of me. It was reliable.Overall, I had a comfortable stay at the hotel with a warm impression.

It took about 10 minutes to get there by bus from Yugawara Station, and as soon as I got off, I was able to get back on the bus smoothly. The hotel didn't feel too old and was clean and hygienic. Most of the employees are from other countries, but I was impressed by the way they spoke Japanese so beautifully that I was impressed by how much they were studying. The facilities are well equipped with amenities. All basic makeup from makeup remover was available, and it was from DHC, so I felt safe using it.The rooms felt rather old, but like the rest of the hotel, they were clean. However, I think it would be better to improve the part where you have to operate the toilet lever until it is flushed completely.I felt that the dinner meal was a little strong in flavor. My overall impression is that it's normal. On the other hand, the breakfast was served in small portions, which was very good, and I was very satisfied with the all-you-can-eat salmon roe and whitebait. The bath and changing area were clean, the temperature of the hot spring was just right, and the water was soft, so I enjoyed it slowly. The open-air bath is very small, and it feels like it's full for 3 people.Overall, the cost performance is good and I think it's a good accommodation.

As others have written, there are many foreign staff members, but they are all very polite and kind! They came out from the front desk to see me off on the way home, and it was a pleasant night. Also, the open-air hot spring bath had a nice view of the mountains of Yugawara.I will use it again if I have a chance!

It was a good stay for the cost performance.(parking)The first basement floor is a parking lot for guests. There are only about 4 spaces, so for the rest, go to the municipal Yugawara Onsen parking lot across from the hotel. It costs 1,000 yen per night, so if you want to save money, check in early.(facility)It's probably quite old. However, the places and facilities that are noticeable due to renovations and renovations are clean. The inside of the room was quite beautiful.I felt it was a bit inconvenient to have one elevator in a facility of that size.It would have been better if there were two units. I guess it's a luxury wish.(hot spring)There is a bathhouse on the 4th floor, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath.Indoor bath - 9 washing areas, public bath class with small bathtubOpen-air bath - no washing area, about 2 tatami mats in bathtubThe water temperature is 40-42℃.It is colorless and odorless, so it has a faint cypress scent.skin becomes smooth(meal)The restaurant on the second floor has semi-private table seating, so it feels very private.Unfortunately, I arrived at the scheduled time and there was already tempura on the table...It wasn't hot when I ate itDuring the meal, the staff came several times to serve the food, but I wish they would bring freshly fried tempura. The next morning for breakfast, we had all-you-can-eat salmon roe and whitebait, which was great!(others)⭐︎For transportation, it might be a good idea to take a route bus (Yugawara Station → Onsen Center Center), the bus stop is right in front of the inn.⭐︎There is a souvenir sales space next to the front desk on the 1st floor, apparently 10% off the market price.⭐︎There is a kids space on the 3rd floor. I saw quite a few adults reading manga.⭐︎There is a coffee machine in front of the front desk, so you can drink as much as you like. There are time restrictions, and items cannot be brought into the guest room.⭐︎90% of the staff are Southeast Asian foreigners, and 10% are very experienced Japanese.I felt like I could feel their hard work.I never had a bad feeling

If you take a bus from Yugawara Station, it's right in front of the Onsencho Chuo bus stop, right next to Yumoto Dori, and conveniently 15 minutes walk from Manyo Park. The Japanese-Western room was spacious, but the bathroom was not large (the open-air bath was small), but it had been renovated. Also, there are yukata and amenities in the lobby, but there are many sizes of yukata, and I am short, so even size S is usually too big for me, but I was very happy that they had size SS and it was perfect. The staff were all very friendly and made me feel relaxed and at ease.
