This ryokan is the best I've ever stayed at in all of Japan. It was amazing. But lately, I've been seeing too many foreigners. 🤷‍♂️

I stayed here for 2 nights with 3 friends. It's my first time at a ryokan, so I can't compare, but it was a truly wonderful experience! The staff looked after us and took care of every detail. They did everything to ensure we had the best possible comfort and we are so grateful!Yes, it's true. The price is right, especially since we had a suite with a private bath. But honestly, you have to keep in mind the cost and service (again, it was really perfect) to make the inn work.Thank you so much to all the staff who worked together with strangers! If you have a chance, stop by Yagyuso and relax for a day or two (or more) and enjoy the atmosphere and the services provided.(Thank you Ayana-san!!)

We went to this beautiful Ryokan in may. We have to say that it was one of the best experiences we had. We were able to compare our experience to other Ryokan, and the food was delicious, the service was flawless and the room was amazing. The shower itself was something! It was spacious and we could see the garden which made it really relaxing. We were a group of 5 and we all agree on the amazing time we spent.Thank you for the hospitality, you should definitely book this place if you want to experience a calm and relaxing moment!

I cannot recommend this hot spring inn enough! This inn doesn't offer enough service for the price.First of all, I don't think having two or three bugs in one room is a big problem. However, it is unacceptable that insects keep coming out of futons and mattresses.Around midnight, termite-like insects started coming out of the mattress and futon one after another. I had no choice but to ask the service staff for help, but the bugs kept appearing and even they couldn't catch them. In the end, the solution provided by the hotel was not a change of room, but simply a replacement of the futon and mattress.I have stayed in various luxury hotels around the world, but this is the first time I have encountered a situation where bugs crawled into my bed. This is unacceptable. The hotel's response was very sloppy and I was disappointed. Quality like this is not worth the price.I've stayed at many hot spring inns in Hakone and Izu, and although some of them have insects flying in through the windows, the beds are always clean. Even hotels far inferior to this hotel do not have this situation. Very unpleasant.Couldn't get better rest and relaxation here. Even if you replace your futon and mattress with a new one, you will still sometimes find insects on the floor that have not been thoroughly cleaned. I couldn't sleep well last night because I was worried about the remaining bugs getting into my futon. I don't think this is the standard for Yagyu no Sho. Very disappointed. If you tell someone you're calling an employee at 12 midnight to catch bed bugs, they'll think you're staying at a corner motel. The next morning, I asked the general manager of the hotel to come to my room and complain about my unpleasant accommodation experience. The general manager only apologized and shifted the blame, but did not offer any real compensation. I took videos and photos of the bugs crawling on my bed. I won't be coming again next time, nor will I recommend it to my family and friends.Furthermore, the sanitary conditions of hot springs are also an issue. Leaves and insects are floating in the open-air bath, and many dead insects are sinking to the bottom. While drinking water in the indoor rest area, I saw a spider the size of my fist on the wall and took a photo of it as well. Finally, the dinner at this hot spring inn was also disappointing and not worth the price. Before coming here, I had heard that the food at Yagyu no Sho was very good, but after experiencing it for myself, I found that the hot spring inns in the Hakone and Ito areas, which are half the price, are much better. They were serving food. The only thing I was satisfied with was the attitude of the food service staff. He was very polite and courteous, and paid attention to every detail when serving the food. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was pretty good. I hope that my unpleasant experience is just an example.

I had wanted to stay at Yagyu no Sho for some time. |This time I stayed in a room with a semi-open-air bath, but one thing I was a little disappointed with was the lack of electrical outlets in the room. …
