This is a low-cost guest house with a hot spring. The only air conditioning is a fan, but it's not a big deal as it's basically a cool area. Please note that there are no convenience stores nearby, and supermarkets close early, so if you don't buy food, you'll be left without food in no time.Nearby restaurants may close early if there are no other customers.

The best experience at a low-cost guesthouse with a retro Showa era feelThis is probably the cheapest guesthouse in Okuhida Onsenkyo, where you can stay at an incredibly low price of 3,300 yen per person per night + 150 yen bath tax.A single person was guided to a four-and-a-half tatami Japanese-style room on the second floor. A small TV, electric kettle, and electric fan are provided, but there is no air conditioning. Utilizing extreme heat will be difficult unless you are a heat tolerant person. By the way, when I used it in mid-September, the room temperature was between 26℃ and 30℃. It seems that heating is provided during the winter, so you don't have to worry about that. By the way, there are also shared refrigerator, freezer, and microwave facilities. There are two bathhouses, which are reserved for private use and are locked when not in use. It is a 100% natural hot spring. However, this source is extremely hot, and although it may fluctuate depending on the season, it is probably over 50 degrees Celsius, so you cannot take a bath as it is. Use the siphon principle to discharge two hoses attached to the source to the outside, then turn on the faucet and add cold water to adjust the temperature to your liking. The water pressure in the shower is very weak, but the bathroom itself is well cleaned, so it's very clean. By the way, bath towels can be rented for a fee of 100 yen each.As this is a room only accommodation, no meals are provided. So, for dinner, you can either go to a nearby restaurant, or you can bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol, in advance. However, as a general rule, please take your garbage home with you. There is no curfew, so you can come and go as you please, even late at night. The guest rooms can be locked, but if you are concerned, please take your valuables with you when you go out.A guesthouse with an old-fashioned feel may be far from convenient and comfortable, but it is definitely more flavorful and will provide you with the best experience. If you are new to traveling or are looking for the best in hospitality, try staying at a nearby luxury inn that is several times the price.Personally, I thought it was very good, so I would definitely use it again when traveling to Okuhida Onsenkyo. We hope this review will be helpful to those considering a trip to Okuhida Onsenkyo. If you are a seasoned traveler looking for a cheap accommodation, this is the perfect accommodation for you! !

We were given a detailed explanation by the pleasant owner.I think a private bath with free-flowing hot spring water is attractive. The building is old and lacks soundproofing. There is no air conditioning. I stayed in mid-July and was only able to use a fan.

It can't be helped because the price is cheap, but the futon is so hard that it gives me back pain, and the hot springs are about 70° hot springs, so I can hardly take a bath...Of the two private baths, one of them is usually empty. That's nice, but it's not suitable for people who want to take their time. The walls are thin and the stairs are noisy, so it might be a good idea to bring earplugs when sleeping at night. The wife likes cleanliness, so I felt like the whole inn was clean, even though it was old. I think it would be a good idea to stay overnight before climbing a mountain by yourself.

If you're just staying the night, it's cheap and you can rent out the hot springs for a good value. We went shopping at A Co-op and drank in the room.Is good.

I was looking for a good value inn and found this inn online. I'm worried about staying overnight with small children...The landlady is actually very kind! She said she was given a room near the hot springs and was given detailed information about nearby restaurants. The children were also very happy to be greeted with smiles and friendly voices. The inn was old and I could hear footsteps going to the stairs and the communal toilet. However, the hot springs were very nice! There are two family baths, and I was able to take a relaxing bath in both. There was a report of a bear sighting nearby! It became one of my fondest memories of the trip because of the uniqueness of this place.

with English translationThe location is between Hirayu Onsen and Shinhotaka Onsen, in the area where luxury inns of Fukuchi Onsen are lined up.This is a reasonable accommodation that only allows you to stay without meals.Parking is free. The bath is a communal indoor bath, but you can lock it and take a private bath. The hot spring water is flowing directly from the hot springs. There is no air conditioner in the room, only a fan. In modern Okuhida, in the middle of summer, an air conditioner is probably necessary. There is no safe. The toilet and washroom are shared. There are a lot of things you can turn a blind eye to for 3,300 yen per night, but if you're not particular about accommodations, it's totally worth it.This time, I booked this hotel at the end of a business trip to Takayama City and enjoyed Okuhida Onsenkyo. The location is between Hirayu Onsen and Shinhotaka Onsen, where the luxury inns of Tochio Onsen are lined up. It is a reasonably priced accommodation with no meals. The parking lot is free, and the bath is a shared indoor bath, but you can take a private bath with a key.
