A must come here if you like to experience Japanese-style accommodation!Although it has a sense of age, it is very clean and comfortable ~The location is very convenient on the old street. The room is very big, with living room and rooms separated. The bathroom also has an amazing personal pool.Grandpa and grandma are very nice people. When the child fell down, he gave us medicine and bandages.I didn’t know where to park the car, so my grandfather took me to park opposite.Grandpa and grandma feel that they are very old and their movements will be slower.

The place is neat and clean, I slept well and the environment is comfortable. There are few restaurants in the community and many tourists. Most of them are closed at 7pm, so I need to have an early dinner.

Great option for a few nights in Takayama. The location is outstanding, right in the middle of the city just next to the old quarters. The place is run by a lovely old couple and everything is spotless clean. The rooms are all traditional Japanese style with shared toilets and bathrooms. There are two private shower rooms with onsen baths. The beds are on the floor on the tatami mat. Prices are reasonable. Overall a nice experience if you are looking for an authentic Japanese accommodation experience.

Very pretty ryokan, we slept well there. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, the ryokan has a private bath so no problem for your tattoos. You have to return before 10 p.m. but in any case everything is closed in the surrounding area at that time. I recommend this place for one night.

Excellent typical Japanese guest house. Run by a very endearing and hospitable family. Spacious, clean room, with comfortable futons on the floor. Shared bathrooms, with two onsen for family audiences, with the perfect temperature, just right. Located next to the main points of interest (museums, shopping streets). One of the best experiences in Japan. I would return without hesitation.

I stayed here for two nights. This minshuku definitely has that wonderful traditional feel that, I think, most tourists want to experience. The hosts are incredibly warm, and while there is a language barrier, we understood each other alright. The private onsen is great, especially after a day of hiking and walking around. I recommend availing of the breakfast for an additional 1,000 yen. It is so worth it.
