I have trekked to the 『Karikomi Lake』to see the autumn leaves. I stayed at 『Hatogayu Onsen』the day before. It seems that this is a hot spring inn called here called secret hot spring. …

Interior is beautiful, the surrounding nature is beautiful, but hard to get to and staff not very friendly or welcoming. So, an "OK" rating.

First visit on August 6, 2023.By far my personal secret hot spring. After all, it's so deep in the mountains that there's no cell phone reception. As expected, the area from Hatogaya Onsen to the back was closed to traffic. Recovery will take some time. I thought it was because of the heavy rain the other day, but the owner said it was caused by a landslide last year. Now, the inside of the building was very European-style, and although there was a huge gap, it was very beautiful. I was guided around and as I walked, I found a separate bathing area. The bathroom had a warm feel with wood grain and tatami mats. The most important part is the bath, which is fan-shaped and not very large, but it doesn't get crowded and you can take a relaxing bath. It was a little thick and had a lot of yunohana in it. I was soaked up to my shoulders, so it was really warm and worth the visit. The rest area has tatami mats and air conditioning so you can relax. Also, is the owner an expert on Gunpla? I suddenly came across a European-style inn and was a bit taken aback lolThe journey is quite difficult, but it is worth the visit. It was pretty good.As a precaution, please never open the bathroom window. Of course, there are a lot of insects, so there is a spray to kill flies in the bathroom, but be careful as if you open the bathroom even a little, insects, especially horseflies, will gather. As expected, the car was very hot when we arrived, so there were a lot of insects...be careful!

About 12km from R158. A hotel located within Hakusan National Park. Although it retains the name of Hatogayu Onsen, it is a new hotel built several years ago. Large parking lot in front of the hotel. …

I stayed here with 3 friends on June 13th. The exterior looked like a mountain hut, but once inside, the fireplace and furniture were calm and European-style. Beer while looking at the mountains on the terrace is also great! Also, the hinoki box meal for dinner was impressively delicious. Each dish was carefully prepared and the seasoning was satisfying. I left the hotel thinking that I would like to come with each partner next time.

Rating 2.5Hatogaya Onsen is a hot spring that I have always wanted to take a bath in. The bathing fee is 800 yen, and you can use a credit card, but it takes time to get your credit card approved because there is no signal. Due to coronavirus concerns, only three people are allowed in the bathroom at a time as it is a narrow fan-shaped bathtub, but perhaps because there are so few users, it is almost reserved for private use, which is good in a sense. The staff attentively played classical music while we ate. I could hear music and the sound of a clear stream, and the view of the mountains from the windows of the Western-style building gave me the feeling of being in a foreign country. It's best to call to see if they're open before coming. The changing room has wooden shelves (with baskets) and lockers (with keys), and the bathing area has hair wash (brown body soap at the time). The restaurant is open until 3pm, and the bathhouse is open until 5pm. The downside is that it's located deep in the mountains, so it's expensive (1,000 yen for grated soba, 1,300 yen for duck nanban soba made with French Barbary duck).

I stopped by on my way back from Karikomi Pond. This year, the road was closed due to landslides in the summer, but it was lifted during the fall foliage season. The inside was reserved, and the bath was lively as it looked like a family was taking it (lol). There was a restroom in the parking lot, and there was a walnut tree next to it. Sometimes a customer would pick it up (lol) This time I received a bento 🤭

It's a beauty bath! The hot water is very smooth and pleasant. The tea-scented shampoos were provided and had a nice scent.I would like you to pull out the antenna on your mobile phone. The road to Mt. Akato is long and rough, so you need to be very careful as there are many dangerous spots.
