The exterior and interior look old in some places, but they have been renovated and kept clean. On the way to the public bath, there were exhibits that reminded me of a historical museum. The large public bath has tatami mats. You will receive an explanation when you check in, but it is so large that you might get lost.Dinner was the kind of food you would have in your room, and it was very delicious. The moment I put the spoon into the rice in the bowl, I was so impressed that the rice was absolutely delicious. It was a dinner that made me feel like I was going to burst. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious, and I ate a lot from the morning. It's great that the rice is delicious.

From the station to the hotel, you will pass through an underground passage and a small ramp. It may be inconvenient for tourists carrying large luggage, but the facilities and services of the hotel itself are very good.Whether it is from the lobby to the room or from the room to the bathhouse, you have to transfer to the elevator twice, which is a bit complicated, but the receptionist at the counter carefully explained the route in simple English and provided a map, which is really great, otherwise we would Maybe you can't find the right way at allOur room is a Japanese-style tatami. It is not large but well-equipped. Bath products and lotions are provided. There is a balcony outside where you can sit and enjoy the sound of the gurgling water and the scenery. The bathhouse has indoor and outdoor pools. The equipment is very new and very clean. It can be seen that it has been carefully maintained. Overall, I give it 100 points. It is a very suitable place to relax.

I stayed in a Western-style twin room in the annex, and the room was very clean and not small, but the flow to the room was not good. The three types of baths are clean and heavenly, with tatami floors, circulating baths, silk baths, and carbonated springs. For dinner, we had Hida beef steak and shabu-shabu, and in the morning we had a buffet style meal that left us full. The formality is different from Suimeikan (a waiter will guide you to your room, etc.), but I think the performance of the accommodation itself, including bathing, meals, and sleeping, is the same.

There was no greeting from the Japanese staff, nor did they respond when I asked for a welcome drink. The Sri Lankan staff were very friendly and I had a good impression of them. The food has been upgraded, so there was more than I could eat at the restaurant, and it was delicious. The public bath was very nice, but when I went in the morning, there was a lot of hair falling out, so I thought it would be nice if they had a roller. The spa had a really musty smell, and there was no way to put it in, so there was no deodorization or incense. I think it would have been better if it had been lit.

Rating 3❇️I rate it as a day trip bath only. If you came to Gero Onsen, this is the place you would want to take a bath, but I was disappointed in the way the people at Ogawaya responded by saying that the parking lot was for guests only. Even for day-trip bathing, we would like you to provide hospitality by allowing parking for your guests. Feeling bad, I went back to visit the hot springs...Apart from the customer service, the changing room lockers are square and easy to put bags in, and I didn't have the bad feeling of being in a locker like some other narrow vertical lockers, so it was good. . There's also a hair dryer, cosmetics, and a water cooler, and a commercial-grade square air conditioner makes it comfortable after taking a bath, and it's easy to use and clean. The most important part was the bath... it was spectacular. I was surprised. amazing. Most of the passageways were lined with tatami mats, which are non-slip and highly water-repellent, making me feel like a lord and feel glad I came here. Is it just unique to Gero Onsen? Personally, I didn't really feel the sliminess on my skin, but I guess it has a hot spring effect. It's been a long time since I've been lying down on the tatami with my wet body in ``Yu~topia''. The bathtub was somehow separated into a large bathtub (I think both have the same spring quality). There is also a space at the end of the large bathtub where you can lie down on your back while soaking in the hot water. When you go down the stairs, there are two comfortable open-air baths. There is a cold bath and a sauna on the right side of the bathhouse entrance. The tatami mats on the stairs to the open-air bath were damp and there was no smell, but sensitive people might not like it. It's a shame that the sauna is dark inside and the water bath isn't cold, but overall, if you come to Gero Onsen, it's better to take a soak.

I stayed on a good value plan.So I didn't have high expectations for the room, but it was a Showa era room.It wasn't particularly dirty, just old, so I had no problems. We took a bath with tatami flooring and a special bath that changed daily.I've taken baths with tatami floors at other places, but I didn't like the feeling when I walked in them. However, I think it's irresistible for people who like it because there are people lying down. The other bath is like a small pool and you can relax in it. It may be unavoidable since it's a hot spring, but when I looked at the ceiling, I noticed it was a bit dirty.Plenty of food was served in the banquet hall for dinner. I had the impression that there were a lot of foreign staff, but I was able to enjoy my time there because they were well-trained and attentive.Breakfast was a buffet, and the seats were comfortable, and the food wasn't too bad, so I was able to enjoy it in peace.Personally, I felt that the inside of the building was somewhat lonely. I thought it would be better to update the decorations and exhibits to suit the times and seasons.I will go again ♨️
