Wife and I traveling from the USA. We found this place to be ideal for a pre and post Nakasendo trail hike (although the trail itself was not that special). The staff was friendly and spoke English well enough.  …

Our party of 6 stayed 3 nights here (Nov 23)... the best and most memorable in our 11- day trip. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the staff is courteous and attentive, breakfast and dinner are super sumptuous, and onsen water is very silky. The surrounding is very quiet and restful, yet very convenient to go to the nearby city centre. Magome town is a quick 6 min drive away. An absolutely lovely accommodation that we would consider returning to in future.

I explored the area, and it was very beautiful. The hotsprings were super relaxed. Breakfast/dinner was also delicious. And of course, very friendly staff. I asked if tattoos were okay for the hotspings, and they said it was okay. Although there was a sign saying no tattoos (as well on website), they seemed to be really nice about it & allowed it. Bonus points for that.

I am torn about this hotel. The location is incredible and very convenient for doing the old postal route hike. The shuttle bus to and from the train station is also a bonus. It runs hourly. …

Visited in 2018, nice onsen nearby, the Japanese room was something interesting, we didn't enjoy breakfast though. The hotel didn't serve supper for those, who haven't booked it earlier, so we were forced to eat at the spa restaurant, which was not bad but very pricey. The place is surrounded by stunning views.

We had a great stay here with my husband and baby. We went to the Onsen and the restaurant. It is a short bus to Magome-juku. Lovely stay.

There was problem on the booking website(we could not choose room with dinner included). When we arrive, there is no other restaurants opened in the area. The staff in the hotel were very kind and helpful - they asked the resort next door to help and prepare meals for us. We are very touched and truly appreciate the staff! It is a great hotel!

On the positive side, the location is great to visit Magome, access to the public bath is included in the price. Japanese breakfast (but no other option available!) is interesting. …
