2024.10.14At the time of Shirakawago Doburoku FestivalI stayed there. This is a very calm inn that blends in with the surrounding nature.Hirase OnsenSulfur-containing sodium-chloride hot springThe temperature of the hot spring source is 93.2℃ and ph.It's a nice thick hot water.Oshirakawa Valley, around Mt. Hakusan, 15 km of natural hot springsI'm drawing hot water.During this hot water withdrawal, the temperature of the hot water drops to around 60℃,Furthermore, by heat exchange at the inn, there is no need to add water. The hot spring temperature is just around 41℃.This is all flowing straight from the source. In addition to the large public bath (indoor/outdoor),For families who can enter whenever there is space. There are two open-air baths. You can soak while blending into the nature outside. The open air is simply wonderful.Well, apart from taking a bath,Also, the food is amazing.Especially for breakfast, I use Hoba miso as salad dressing.Stone tofu topping, served with rice3 cups of rice in the morning. And then we went to the hot springs again, opened the windows, lie down on the futonIt was a wonderful holiday.Good point・The hot spring water directly from the source is alkaline and is good for beautiful skin.Abundant amount of hot water・An accommodation that blends into nature・Irori hearths everywhere・Calm lobby・Great foodLocal materials are used

The room is clean, the food is delicious, the hot spring has a faint sulfur smell, the service is very warm, and it's close to Gassho Village. It's a great secret hot spring.

As others have written, the staff's customer service was not snarky and they were very considerate, so I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night trip. The food was full of mountain produce and was very delicious. This is one of the hotels I would like to visit again.

Amazing! Everybody was so friendly and patient with us despite my low level of Japanese. Incredible ryokan experience as part of a perfect holiday in Japan.

I arrived at Mingjuku very late because I went up to the Gassho Village Observation Deck. The service attitude of the Mingjuku staff was very good👍 and the food was delicious. The only drawback was that the hot spring temperature was not high enough. The Mingjuku staff also felt very sorry and gave away fruits. , the scenery outside was also beautiful when I left in the morning, overall I was very satisfied😁

We were lucky enough to book the traditional Japanese suite when we had to change plans last minute. It was our first ryokan experience and will not be our last! The entire facility was so tranquil. Our suite had a fancy massage chair. It made me giggle at first since it seemed out of place, but really added to our much needed day of rest after so much walking around the cities. Also appreciated the two private baths, onsen towel/clothing and clear instructions.Although staff members didn’t speak much English, they were so patient with our utter lack of Japanese skills. Food was fantastic; I especially loved the various mountain vegetables and Hida beef. We had to depart early the following morning and they still prepared breakfast for us. I’m so grateful for their flexibility.

I used it around mid-March when sightseeing in Shirakawa-go.It's a very quiet place, and the staff were all very kind and we had a great time. The dinner was absolutely amazing and everything was delicious.Everything was delicious, including the wild vegetables, salt-grilled tempura, and freshly squeezed soup. The bathhouse has an indoor bath and an open-air bath, as well as a private open-air bath.It was warm on the day we used it, so about 4 strange bugs (stink bugs) came into the room and the toilet in the room, so if you are afraid of insects, please take this into account. The air conditioner in the room is an old type with settings of high, medium, and low.
