You won’t find a better accommodation on Miyajima! That’s a fact!If you’re looking for a traditional place to stay at with cosy rooms and the most heart warming service, then don’t look any further! Also: in no other hotel room I’ve slept better than on the futons in this house! Please take a look at the awesome food we got there (made by the owner himself!), also included in the price!

Quaint bed and breakfast with exceptional service and food. Although the bathroom and bedrooms were small comfortable beds with air conditioning in both rooms. We had yukata provided as well for our use. Omakase sushi dinner had premium choices including chutoro, sea urchin, wagyu, sweet shrimp, puffer fish and much more.Would be a choice for a couple or friends trip. Would not be a good choice for family with children as there are many antiques and decorations on display.

Really nice traditional guesthouse to stay in Miyajima. Right in the heart of the old town and couple of minutes walk from the shrine. The chef is an absolute sushi master and was amazed by the sushi omakase tasting menu we received as part of our stay. It included some different fish i was hoping to try while in Japan. Would definitely recommend staying overnight if you get the chance if visiting Miyajima as the shrine and Tori gate is really nice lit up at night when quieter with less tourists.

Small machiya with a sushi restaurant downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs with an undated shower and toilet. They also have a large open varanda from with the Tori is partially visible. We were given both the bedrooms for a family of 3.This is walkable distance from the ferry building if you have small luggage/ backpack. The dinner was Omakase style. The chef/ owner did an excellent job of showing his skill as sushi chef. We got to sample 14 of his creations and they all were unique and tasteful. We were full by 11th or 12th and he kept bringing us more. ;)The breakfast is continental style. On the day of checking out it was raining so we asked if there is any taxi service and he called a taxi for us, which we paid.

I've had sushi many times in Japan, including Sushiya, but this is the best value for money. It's not just cost-effective, it's really delicious. I made a reservation, but the food suddenly stopped coming, so I thought my order had been missed, but that didn't seem to be the case. I was stressed because I thought I would miss the train, but after eating sushi, I understood. The staff is very responsive and the chef is good, but you should expect at least an hour and a half to two hours to eat. One hour is not enough. I would like to visit again next time.

Were lucky enough to get a reservation for dinner, and had the large omakase course. Wow, amazing! The master served us a multitude of delicious bites. Working by himself, he did excellent, and his use of the torch was impressive! The oyster, fugu, toro, beef, squid, crab, sweet shrimp, chawanmushi, and clam soup were highlights. We drank generously poured dassai 39 masu sake and greatly enjoyed the company of a local miyajima couple next to us at the counter. Could not recommend enough, be sure to reserve!
