Guest House Ko-Rai-Gen is 25 minutes from Kinomoto Station by foot or 5 minutes by car. It is recommended to travel around by car as the house offers a garage.They offer excellent free temple experiences curated by the owner's husband who's is the priest at the adjacent temple. Despite the typhoon hampering my travel plans I was offered great flexibility with my booking, including the option to wait out the storms in case I was unable to check-in in time.This vacation home is a great option for foreigners, as the wife is a certified local guide who speaks good English and can help with planning day trips and give an array of options to explore Kinomoto town and the wider vicinity.

It was my first time staying at a temple, and the surrounding area was very quiet and I felt very relaxed.Although I was staying with my children, I was able to have some experiences that I wouldn't normally have, such as playing with them and being allowed to go inside the temple. We adults were also able to learn about the history of temples and Buddhism, which was a great learning experience for us.We were also given detailed information about the surrounding shops, so we were able to take a walk after checking in.It had a homely atmosphere, like visiting a relative's house, and I would definitely stay here again. thank you very much.

It was a comfortable accommodation that felt like returning home. Although it is a little far from the station,Since there was only one group per day, I was able to easily request transportation.

It was used by a family of 5.Since we didn't have dinner, we ate at a nearby restaurant about a 15 minute walk away. Honestly, there aren't many stores...Biwako Shokudo: I ate chicken hotpot and yakiniku, and it wasn't that expensive and it was delicious ♡ It's a restaurant that looks great on Instagram!It was only a shower, so I went to the hot springs in Kitaomi and it felt nice.In the morning, ring the bell and recite the sutras from making breakfast to the Buddha.After that, I molded rice balls and miso using Japanese cypress wood.They wanted the children to experience things that they would otherwise not be able to experience, and even the misbehaving children were warmly guided, and I am glad that I was able to experience them.thank you very much.
