The 80-90 year old lady who presumably owns the place is very sweet. That’s where the positivity in this review ends.Aside from our initial encounter with her, her daughter who presumably manages the place has a horrible attitude. She made bizarre demands consistently throughout our stay. Including but not limited to: wearing the tiny slippers in the hallways and not simply taking off our shoes and walking on socks (as almost every other ryokan or hotel allows). Calling the room to complain that we should turn off the LIGHTS IN THE HALLWAY of the hotel when we aren’t in the hall, as well as the lights in any room we go into.I’ve never seen a place so stingy and hellbent on saving a buck that they demand the guests themselves turn on the hallway lights. The list goes on, but for brevity sake I’ll stop there. The hotel itself hasn’t had any repairs done seemingly ever. Cracks in the walls. Hole in the wall where the doorknob has been carving a hole out for what I can only presume is decades. Broken glass and wood all around. The tiles in the indoor bath were browned and cracking away. The entire interior of the place was dark and cold (because no lights were ever on) and felt like walking around in Chernobyl. They don’t even put out your futon for you. You’re expected to do that yourself. There is zero service from check in to check out.The manager gal is clearly waiting for her mother to die so she can sell the land and move to the city.

The customer service I received was amazing. The owners were accommodating in every way. I did not try the food, so can't rate that, but I hope to try it next time I visit this place. The open air bath is wonderful. If you are not accustomed to traditional rice pillows, you may want to bring your own pillow. The futon and floor mattress were extremely firm, but of good quality. The Hinode room was an absolute treasure to stay in.There is a wonderful Japanese BBQ place nearby where it is possible to have a wonderful and romantic dinner if you are not eating at the Ryokan.I used booking.com to make my reservation and it was a seamless process. If you use this service, be sure to read your confirmation emails in their entirety as they will answer your questions before you get to the Ryokyan. All in all, I cherish the experience I had here and I am so grateful for the opportunity and for the hard work that the women who own this Ryokyan put into it.

Absolutely fantastic service. Traditional sleeping arrangements though so bring a pillow if you aren't used to hard Japanese rice pillows. The open air onsen is beautiful, and co-ed.

I had a big wound on my body, but the next day I took a soak in the open-air bath.I was surprised to see that the pain had disappeared and the wound had closed. This is the first time I've experienced a hot spring that works so well. The open-air bath is a mixed bath, so you can relax and enjoy it without meeting other guests. The sprain will heal in two days, so we will continue to take care of you.It is the best spring quality for medical treatment.Inside the facility, you will feel like you have traveled back in time and you will experience an extraordinary feeling. It's perfect for completely relieving your fatigue both physically and mentally.

Just in case there are no victims. It was the worst accommodation I have ever encountered in my life.If you are trying to make a reservation, please wait a moment.Everyone knew that it was old. Everything else was really bad.We paid 18,000 yen per person. It was really dirty and I hesitated to touch anything.I was afraid that my yukata would get itchy too.It smells too musty all the time.I'll definitely get sick after a few nights. The changing room is also very dirty, the walls are peeling, and the paint looks like it's exposed...Needless to say, there are no amenities. There's no shower either. There is no hot water coming out of Karan.I gave up on washing my hair.My friend tried her best to wash herself with water, but even though she had come to the hot spring to warm up, her body was so cold from the water that it seemed painful.I would like you to tell me first that there is no shower. When I told them there was no hot water, they didn't apologize and said they had forgotten to open the tap and would do it right away. The indoor bath was also lukewarm. The check-in area was not even at the front desk, and old luggage was piled up.The futon on the bed lacked a sense of cleanliness, and the pillow had what looked like eyelashes on it.Have you washed it?Maybe it can't be helped that there aren't any vending machines, but if you can put water in your room and charge 190 yen, anything is possible.Even though they are old, there are many ryokans that are still open and clean.I want my money and time back.It was a funny story and it was fun because I was with a close friend of mine, but I can't stand the inn. There were some people who came as couples, so I thought it would be irreversible lol.In fact, a girl was standing there in the bathroom. What do you do with this? We had a conversation lolI didn't expect much from the rice either, but it's good.Only the white rice and soup were hot, and the boiled fish and steamed sweet potatoes were also cold. That is now within the acceptable range. There were some reviews that said there was a crocodile, but that was the most disgusting. We didn't enter the mixed bath either. scared. Well, I feel like it's not that well managed. There was also a post saying that they had been secretly filmed, I guess they didn't think so.

The landlady is kind to guests staying at the hotel, but cold to day-trippers. That's the impression.I think they really want to stop taking day-trip baths, so if that's the case, wouldn't it be a good idea to just open overnight stays?

Arrived before 16:00.Day trip bathing is said to be open until 5pm.but,A female staff member looked disgusted and simply said, "It's open until 5pm."The front door was immediately closed.Frankly terrible.
