I felt like I had received proper hotel service for the first time in a while. First of all, when I checked in, I was impressed that they pulled a chair in front of the counter and let me sit. Many of the reviews pointed out that the building was old, so I was concerned about that. However, the renovated guest room was very clean. Spacious for someone used to modern business hotels! I was also impressed that the shower room and toilet were separated. The mosaics and glass doors (which may have been renovated) in the lobby, which had not been renovated, gave it a nice feel. The bathroom was certainly old, but I think it was well-cleaned. The open-air bath was lukewarm and I stayed in it forever. Although the indoor bath was too hot for me at night. The breakfast omelet was made professionally and was very delicious, and the fig bread was delicious, and I would have loved to have it with cream cheese and wine.It was very quiet, and after breakfast, I opened the window on the terrace of my room, lay on the bed, and relaxed.I don't have many opportunities to go to Hakone, but I would like to visit you again.

Stayed for one night with breakfast included. The room was clean and nice as it had been renovated. I agree with the idea of dividing the bathroom into a shower. The toilet is separate, and if you want to relax, you can just go to the open-air bath (I didn't use it, though). However, the water pressure in the shower was weak, which was a bit disappointing. The family said they decided to stay there, even though it was a bit expensive, because it had been renovated and the food had received good reviews. However, I was dissatisfied with the capital view and booed it. What you can see from the window is the terrace extending from the lobby. The capital letters cannot be seen unless you stand diagonally from the side of the window.Regardless of the capital letters, I think we need to find other appealing points. I think we could have created an atmosphere that felt more like a hideaway, one that would make people feel like they were coming to stay the night. It's a little far from the station and the surrounding area is quiet, so it feels like you can relax and stay surrounded by trees. The atmosphere of the lobby and restaurant is undeniably old. I think it would be good if we could give off an aura that says we still value them, but I think that's lacking in that respect. I think the untidy feel of the check-in counter (the inside of the counter is completely visible) and the haphazard partition between the lobby and the restaurant give this feeling. If there were a female staff member, I think it would be possible to change things from a more feminine perspective, but since I've only seen men, I guess it's more of a male household. Also, the staff didn't say a word to me at breakfast, so I only noticed the selfie corner in the shadow of the pillars later. There was no information about coffee or tea. It's probably a daily routine for the staff, but for the customers, it's all new to them. I wanted them to serve customers with a sense of tension.I felt that the breakfast was not fresh enough. I want some fruit. The croque monsieur on the plate was topped with a separate plate of small bread with walnuts mixed in and a croissant (both small), and there was no butter or jam. What was missing from the other tables was a salt and pepper mill. What if it doesn't come out unless I say it? I thought it would be nice to hear someone say, ``I have something ready for you, but what should I do?''

Used for lunch. Delicious grilled chicken, prosciutto, and rich cheese sandwiched in half on a long bread. What makes this sandwich different from a bakery sandwich is that it was created by an authentic French chef. The price of 1,980 yen, which includes soup, quiche, and drink, is too good to be true. And the view is spectacular. Daimonjiyaki can also be seen. 5 minutes walk from Gora Station to Koenkami Cable Car Station. A little-known restaurant where few tourists come!
