The hot springs were very nice as everyone said. The rooms and toilets were very clean, and the bathroom was very clean with no mold all the way to the ceiling. The quality of the spring water was very good, so I would like to use it again.

Ryokan which pleasantly surprised us!The rooms are quite spacious, with a closed balcony which offers a lovely view of the surrounding nature. They are equipped with tables, tea making facilities, toilets and a sink but the shower is taken in the onsen. You can use private onsen (one by reservation and one with free access), as a couple and in complete privacy. The lady who runs the place is adorable and there is everything you need to eat on site (microwave and small noodle and snack shop sold by the hotel). The geographical location invites calm and disconnection, even if there is a bus stop nearby and very good quality wifi.I still advise you to come with your evening meal already purchased to eat on site because the supermarkets are at a distance. It was a great experience that we recommend!

*Late August 2024Bathing hours have changed.I think it would be a good idea to make it possible to use the private baths that are currently reserved whenever they are available.Basically, it's more like a share house or dormitory than an inn or hotel.ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーI've been there several times since then. There is one disappointing point. The bathhouse can only be used from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.It's a well-earned hot spring, so I think it would be nice if it stayed open a little longer.ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーAnyway, hot water is good. The building itself is old, but the rooms and bedding are clean and everything you need is available (microwave and toaster in the hallway; refrigerator and kettle in the room). The inside of the building is quiet. The location is in a villa area, so a private car or rental car is recommended. There are no shops nearby, so I don't think it would be a good idea to rely on the bus.All three baths can be reserved for private use. One of them requires reservations, and you can make one reservation on the same day and once the next day at check-in. If the other two are vacant, you can lock them up and rent them out. You should expect it to be crowded in the morning. The cloudy white water drawn from Owakudani will make your skin smooth. The temperature of the main bath is said to be around 61℃.Cup noodles and drinks can be purchased through the front desk.

Superb traditional rooms in a remote, peaceful area, perfect for relaxing in complete tranquility. The staff is very pleasant and warm. A bus stop a few minutes' walk away is accessible to go directly to the shinkansen, or to enjoy a beautiful boat trip on Lake Ashi. The rooms are perfect when we arrive, and they contrast between tradition and modernity. The onsens are accessible, and are extremely relaxing.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The good aspects were that the hot spas were great. It seemed like the couple of times that we went in helped with our skin and bones. The rooms were large and spacious. Traditional rooms and floor mats for sleeping. The not good aspects is that outside of the rooms is dated, which is not a bad thing, but just overall dirty and needs a face-lift severely. There are no showers outside of the hot springs rooms. Employees were scarce, so you only saw them every so often. The slings rooms were damp and run down and overall almost on the creepy side, especially the spa that they recommended you be in without clothes. I wouldn't say stay away from, but hold your expectations.
