Cosy Japanese style building, really like the atmosphere and vibesThe building doesn’t have any lift elevator, this might be a con for my parents to go up and down with luggage, but the staff is willing to help us to carry them. 👍🏻It’s sharing bathroom and toilet, not convenient for my parents, but I like the experience of this.Very good hot spring bath, cosy Japanese Garden style, nice one.The handmade bagel is very delicious, overall breakfast is good.

Usagi-chan is here🐇The annex has been renovated and is very clean and has a modern mix. (Actually, I decided to stay in the main building, but the main building was so old that it even felt eerie in places. I think staying in the annex was the correct answer.)The annex building has Japanese and foreign staff in casual uniforms, and their English and Chinese skills seem to be fine (I had the impression that the main building had a Japanese waitress in Japanese attire, making it difficult to deal with them), with a gentle and calm sense of distance, and a homey feel. It has a warm hostel-like feel.Request Shirahonoka for the welcome drink beer! When ordering room service, I asked her in advance if she would like to have a birthday dessert plate as a surprise, and she gladly accepted and even sang along with me😭I only had breakfast, but it wasn't anything like The Frozen, and even though it wasn't fancy, everything was delicious and I enjoyed it just right. (I'm the type of person who gets more tired at buffets where I end up eating too much.)You can use the baths in both the annex and the main building, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the open-air bath in the annex, but the hot water was good enough.I went in wearing a hat in the rain, so emotional lolThe outdoor area of the main building is not suitable for elderly people because the footing to reach it is difficult. In the summer, I get nervous about insects on the way.All of the baths are not too hot and you can take a long, relaxing bath, but after just a few minutes of bathing, you'll be warmed up considerably (which is a problem in the summer because your sweat won't go away for a while, haha), and since I have extremely dry skin, I don't need lotion. The skin is moderately moist. My daughter also experienced the wonders of the hot springs.Because the usage time is appropriate, the bath is almost always reserved for private use, and I had Tatto in it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it👍The problem is that even if you want to see the outside view or ventilate the room, there is no screen door, so insects can get in.(Still, I prefer it to being in a closed room with no windows open.)Only the closet smells very old. (That's why I didn't use it.) Both the annex and main building have a lot of stairs, so it can be difficult for elderly people. It is highly recommended if you want to enjoy the hot springs while staying at a traditional Hakone inn with minimal inconvenience.

The annex building is next to the main building. If you exceed the check-in time, you need to check in at the main building. …

I was in Japan for approximately 9 nights. This was by far the best, most beautiful room I was in. It fit the setting perfectly. The breakfast was fulfilling. …

It was nice to come back after a long time to heal in nature... I was surprised and a little disappointed that the open-air hot spring was so small. …

It is an old building that has been renovated, and the modern Japanese rooms are beautiful. A mattress is placed on a raised tatami mat to create a bed-like feel. There is no toilet in room 303.There is no elevator in the building. The thing that bothered me the most was that there were a lot of insects. It can't be helped since the building is on the edge of a mountain and it's summer.Insects are attracted by the lights at night, and since the building is old, they seem to come into the room through the gaps even if you don't open the windows.Insects can also be found in the washbasin near the window of the room, in the shared toilet, shower room, and open-air bath. Lots of dead insects. When I walked outside to go to the open-air bath in the morning, there were spider webs on the path, and I didn't like them covering my face. There are many girls who don't like insects, so I'd like to share this with you.In the morning, I went to take a bath in the main building. The main building has an indoor bath and an open-air bath with a view of the river, but the entrances to the two baths are separate. There was only an indoor bath at the place I was guided to, but what? Where is the open-air bath? ?Once I put on my yukata and was walking around the building, I happened to find the entrance that led to the open-air bath. From there, I walked down an unstable stone path (stairs) and found an open-air bath, where I was able to bathe safely. As everyone has written, you cannot use shampoo or soap in the open-air baths in the main building or the annex due to environmental issues. Therefore, in the annex, you have to wash in the shower room on the second floor, then put on your yukata and go to the open-air bath on the first floor. Moreover, toiletries such as shampoo and lotion are not available in the shower room on the second floor, so I had to go to the first floor to get them. .

Certainly one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had the chance to stay in.Three bus stops from Hakone Station, the hostel is divided into two buildings, the main building and the annex, where I stayed.Communication with the manager was quick and easy, as we were caught in a typhoon and weren't sure we'd make it in time! The building itself is superb. It feels like a period film, and with yukata and shoes available everywhere, the illusion is almost perfect. There are three onsen: an outdoor one in the annex, an outdoor one and a private one in the main building. The one in the annex is magnificent and is tattoo-friendly, which is a plus! The bathroom and single-sex toilets, separate from the bedroom, are very clean and very well equipped. The room has a safe, a cupboard, a television, a fridge, a kettle and tea making facilities. The bed is very comfortable, and even if we hear the noise of the road (normal, the building dates from 1884, the insulation is not the best, but that's part of the charm), the night was very restorative.Breakfast was prepared meat-free at our request, and the staff were lovely throughout.Thank you again for this incredible stay!
