I found this place serene and zen despite the comments published by customers. I had a very large, clean and quiet room despite a slight smell of tobacco. The staff very welcoming and respectful. A big thank you to Safina and Go for their kindness and professionalism.

Honestly this place was incredible and I don't understand the mixed reviews. The staff were incredibly accommodating, the food absolutely above and beyond, the traditional room was out of a movie set, and the onsen superb. If you're not interested in experiencing a different culture with different foods, yeah, stay elsewhere. But if you're interested in new experiences and seeing what life is like outside of Tokyo, this place is certainly the place to go.

・Good pointsThe food, white rice, was very delicious. The person at the front desk and the guy who cooks the breakfast buffet are very nice.・Points that caught my attentionFirst of all, I am not sure about the cleaning. Various people's hair and a large amount of dust accumulated on the base of the Japanese-style light stand in the guest room. When I tried to check the air flow of the hair dryer, it was slimy...Maybe the previous guest had applied treatment to the hair dryer and held it with his/her hands, so he didn't check or clean it when cleaning. The guest room was a semi-open-air room with a view of the river, but there is a large multi-storey parking lot across from the river, and you can usually see the driver, so if you are interested, you should be careful when using the open-air parking lot... (Shutter will be closed)There is also an ice cream vending machine in the rest area next to the public bath, but you cannot use it.There is quite a lot of noise from curtains opening and closing in other rooms. As others have written, I don't have a good impression of the middle-aged woman among the dining staff. When explaining the next day's breakfast buffet, he said, ``Breakfast is delicious!''Hmm! It's going to be crowded, so I think you'd better come early.'' His language was somewhat... His language and attitude toward other guests was also rude. The front desk staff seemed nice at first glance, but I had the impression that they were unreliable, as some of the information I had confirmed over the phone was not communicated to them on the day, there were mistakes in arrangements, and there didn't seem to be any sharing of information among the staff.

Great hotel-onsen the rooms are big and Very cozy. The onsen is very relaxing with a beautiful view in the morning. There is also an option for the private ones but for an additional fee. There is also a small karaoke booth. The breakfast is a buffet type.

Dinner was freshly cooked rice cooked right in front of you🍚, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of menus. The food was delicious and very satisfying! The open-air bath in the large communal bath on the 5th floor had just the right amount of hot water, and I soaked in it while looking at the starry sky, warming my body to the core. The next morning, I took a leisurely soak in the semi-open-air bath in my room while listening to the murmuring of the river, feeling completely cleansed.Although the hotel has a retro atmosphere, I would like to use it again as a hotel in Hakone, which is easily accessible from Tokyo.

Stay away from this hotel! It is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen. We were supposed to stay here for two nights but checked out today after one night. We are stuck with the costs, but it doesn't matter to us, our health is more important to us. The hotel is old, the pictures do not correspond to reality. The entire hotel is dirty and smells like an old washcloth that has been lying around for days. It's the same in the room too, and it's also very humid. There is dust all over the room, dirt on the walls and the highlight is the green, moldy shower/bathtub. After a night with little sleep and itching all over our bodies, we fled. When we checked out, the staff didn't even ask us why we were leaving early. The price-performance ratio is definitely not right here and a booking here is money thrown out the window.
