Beautiful establishment in a very good location, close to restaurants that are family friendly and if you want a more metro nightlife it's a 10min walk to potoncho street or gion district. Temples and shrines are very close by also. This is the place to stay for location but also a semi ryoken feel on top floor for the 2 bedroom residence. The bathroom is almost like an onsen with the bath tub and localised shower method. Manga books for the kids or young at heart in reception. Felt safe, very clean and quiet location.

Spacious and well designed rooms with a modernized Japanese vibe to it. Love lounging in the tatami area after a long day of touring Kyoto. Close to higashiyama station (train) which is a must for choosing a hotel in Kyoto. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Superb hotel close to the metro line and bus lines. The rooms are very quiet, large and very Japanese (tatami, coffee table, toilets and Japanese bathroom). The bed is large and very comfortable. …

I met the reception only once when check-in. He's alright. He could speak a little English but no problem. We misunderstood a lot when it comes to communication via in room note. Their policy is good. Our room got cleaned up once in 3 days based on eco-saving style. I liked that. The location is very nice. There's a laundry room and microwave on the first floor. Loved the hot toilet seat and tatami mat floor. The only minus point here is the bathroom. The water was hard to get hot or warm. I had to shower after 9pm often during the stay and since then on, the water was very cold and hard to get it into hot or warm. It was very unpleasant. It can be that the hotel itself is quite old so the water system is like that but still.. We stayed for 4 nights.
