The Royal Park Iconic Hotel is an absolute delight! From the moment you step in, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the hotel instantly make you feel at ease. The location is unbeatable whether you’re exploring the city or heading out for a meeting, getting around is a breeze. One of the best perks? Guests are treated to complimentary afternoon tea during lunch and a well stocked bar in the evening which adds a touch of luxury to your stay. The hotel also offers fantastic amenities including a relaxing spa and the convenience of a self-laundry machine which is perfect for longer stays. But the highlight for me was the corner view room. The panoramic views were simply breathtaking, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. I absolutely loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience! :)

I will start by saying I am extremely picky when it comes to hotel stays, and I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. First off, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful (they booked us massages, helped organize our luggage transferring, brought extra items to our room in minutes etc) second, the amenities were such a pleasant surprise, we loved the the bath house with how much walking we did it was absolutely relaxing and so tranquil and the best part was the daily access to their lounge with appetizers, wine/beer/sake from 5-9pm. This literally makes the hotel stay for me a 10/10! Was so quiet, and everyone seemed to really love it! Thanks to all the stay for the incredible stay in Kyoto.

Impressive amenities compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in at comparable cost. The rooms were modern and spacious and beds were comfortable. The hotel pajamas were so comfortable and zen like that I bought them to bring home to the U.S. I am mostly plant based and the hotel breakfast was exceptional and beautiful and delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as you can get accommodations at different price points. I’m not wealthy and yet I felt treated like a Princess and that will stay with me.

Pros:- excellently located away from the crowds of tourists but, easily accessible to explore the city by foot and by all forms of transport- free refreshments throughout the day including afternoon tea which is presented in beautiful cases and appetizers and alcohol in the evening- reception staff are helpful and will bring you water etc to the room when needed- rooms are clean and modern- separate public baths for men and women (not onsen) but we didn’t use as even for a swimming pool, you need to be naked.Cons:- rooms have too much furniture that it’s hard to walk (standard room) I hit my foot and leg on the wooden ledge around the bed and on the arm chair. I would recommend removing the table and chair as there is not enough room to move around and you need to avoid all obstacles or you’ll get hurt.- bathroom light is automatic so in the night if you use it, the light comes on and lights up the room which woke up my partner. No way to stop the light from turning off, just have to wait. Light also turns off when you are in the shower if you don’t move.Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying here. It’s a beautiful hotel.

We had an excellent stay here in early June. ||Staff was very friendly to us and allowed us to check in a little early since our room was ready. We borrowed umbrellas due to light rain and they were friendly about this as well. …

The staff at The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Kyoto were gracious, thorough and attentive. We routinely saw the staff at the check in desk walk the guests out and arrange transportation. We had their help as well. They helped us arrange luggage transport and finding our way to various spots . They answered questions and guided us whenever we needed help. They are generous in arranging various times of the day and evening for complimentary snack, sweets and cocktails. The restaurant served a deliciously prepared Japanese breakfast and although I’m sure their American breakfast is wonderful too, we were so glad to have opted for the Japanese. There is a mature yet open vibe to this hotel that stood out to us and set it apart. The hotel was quiet inside and a nice respite from long days of exploring the beauty and people of Kyoto. We left wishing we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back there. Thank you RPHIK for the wonderful stay. With gratitude and until next time….. Arigatogozaimasu❣️

Looks very fancy, until you dig deeper. Breakfast = no toast, no jam, no cheese in your omelette. No juice, only orange and pineapple fruit given. No self service, no buffet. …
