We appreciated several features of our stay, especially the kindness of the service guest lounge, which was stylish and well-equipped.Our room’s bathroom, with both a bath and shower, was spacious and a nice part of the overall setup. However, the room itself was smaller than expected compared to the pictures. For a twin room, two smaller single beds could have maximized the space better. It might also be helpful to include some vertical storage, like high shelves for suitcases.Another negative note is the number of washing machines and dryers in the hotel: they are not sufficient compared to the number of guests that the hotel can accommodate.

I had informed my companion in advance that I would be staying there to commemorate his birthday, and when I entered the room, he left a card with a handwritten message on the table. I was very happy with the smart arrangement. The rooms and the inside of the hotel were clean and we were able to spend a fulfilling time there.

Like a youth hostel, the rooms are small, dark and unclean, and the hotel staff are cold and rude. Bad experience in Kyoto.

I stayed at Rakuro hotel with my daughter for 4 nights. It is a nice and quiet hotel and it smelled very nice. We had a superior Japanese style room. The room was nice with good beds. Downsides were no cupboards, just a few coat racks against the wall, our suitcases had to be on the sofa. The shower room did not smell very fresh, there was a slight odor of sweat and there was long black hair hanging on the wall above the bath. The room was also behind the TV, curtains very dusty. The air conditioning also had a lot of dust on the grille. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the young woman at check-in spoke very poor English. She had to translate a lot via her tablet, which made it annoying. The breakfast was tasty but the same every day was very boring. The lounge was really beautiful and modern and cozy. The herbal water was very refreshing after a hot day in Kyoto. All in all, a nice and pleasant hotel.

Although it is a casual hotel, the front desk staff treated us courteously. In particular, the taste of the guest rooms and guest lounge is wonderful. There is a sense of cleanliness, and the rooms are spacious, so there are no complaints! However, when I opened the curtains, a large amount of dust flew up behind the curtains... When I looked closely, I saw an incredible amount of dust. The circulator and the back of the TV are full of dust.Desks, beds, bathrooms, etc. are kept well-cleaned, so I think it's a good idea to clean the parts you can't see at least once a week.I would like to repeat it if that is improved.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and we were quite disappointed by the lack of comfort we had. Rooms are very small with little space for luggages, no shelves for clothes or even difficult to move around and relax in the room. Bathroom is outside of the bedroom which creates discomfort considering you can get locked out if you don’t bring with you the room keys. It is also unsafe if you leave your personal belongings in the bathroom since it can be open by anyone else. Location is good and relatively close to the main attractions in Kyoto.
