Lovely hostel. Cubby was comfortable and good size, able to fit my 40l backpack in the corner. Has a locker with key to store valuable things. Bathroom and toilets are separated and very clean. Stayed in a all-female area and everyone was pleasant (but not really engaging). Someone has a strong body odor and I requested to switch to a bed at a corner, nearer to the window which they promptly assisted with my request. The common area was well kept and clean.Would be better if the hostel host lesser people in a room? I saw about 25 beds in my area and the 3 nights I was there, it was pretty full house.

Great place to stay for solo travellers in Kyoto! The location is right in the heart of the historic Gion district, with bus and subway stops close by. I stayed in a lower bunk on the women's only floor. The bed is about a twin size, but the space itself was bigger than I expected. I'm about 153 cm and could sit up comfortably without bumping my head on the ceiling. While there were 24 beds in my room, I found it was pretty quiet. Lights are out at 10 pm, and quiet hours are from midnight to 6 am.There were keycard-locked female only showers on my floor that were cleaned daily. There were plenty of shower stalls and toilets, so I never had to wait for a bathroom. The facilities are very clean. Towels, bikes, adapters and more can be rented from the front desk. Overall a great and reasonably priced stay!

This hostel had very nice rooms that were quiet and well-lit, even at night time (very low light so that you can sleep but still see where you are walking). The bathrooms and showers were nice, and the staff was friendly. It's in a nice area too if you like Gion and want to be near the river. I would consider returning to this hostel for sure.

My absolute favorite hostel in Japan. It was extremely clean, cozy, and had hospitable / friendly employees. The pods/dorms were great in my opinion, and were well-kept / designed. You get a new towel everyday, and there’s plenty of sinks and showers. My favorite part was the living room / lobby area to which my travel partners and I would find ourselves sitting and mingling with other travelers/backpackers well into the night. They had one laundry washer and dryer on the top floor including a roof access area. There’s also a laundromat across the street. Uhhh I’m trying to think of other things I liked but honestly I just loved the place as a whole. Felt quickly familiar / homey within a day or two. OH YOU CAN RENT BIKES TOO

Not a party hostel, but comfortable, extremely clean, facilities are awesome and has a traditional taste even though being a more modern building with big elevator and all. Would definitely stay here again.

The best capsule hotel I've stayed at. Cozy and private, nice staff, comfortable temperature and good showers. Easy luggage storage before and after stay. Excellent location for being nearby a lot of food and fun, but off a small street so it is not loud and is very peaceful. I would stay here again and recommend highly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Lovely hostel to explore Kyoto, well located in Gion, close to a tube station that can take you to Inari, as well as Pontocho, which is only a 10 min walk. It is not the best place to meet people, but rather a more chilled, hotel likd experience, with people coming and going, which is nice if that’s what you are after. Appreciate the kitchenette and having a fridge as well.
