If you crave interactions with fellow travelers and appreciate simplicity then this is your home away from home. My first ever experience sleeping in a bunk bed with four others. There is a shower no tub. All shiny new facilities. It's located in a charming area with multiple restaurants, McDonald's and convenience stores. It's a 6-minute walk from the Demachiyanagi station. Which means you could see or join all the early morning joggers and walkers along the picturesque Kamo river.

The service was terrible, the agreed check out time was 11am and you were rushed out at 10am, the soundproofing in the room was terrible, there was a restaurant next door and it would be noisy until midnight. And the hotel has a strange curfew, not recommended!

The service was terrible, the agreed check out time was 11am and you were rushed out at 10am, the soundproofing in the room was terrible, there was a restaurant next door and it would be noisy until midnight. And the hotel has a strange curfew, not recommended! The promised checkout time was 11am, but I was kicked out at 10am. The soundproofing in the room was also poor, and there was a restaurant next door, which was noisy until midnight. And this hotel has a strange curfew! I do not recommend staying here!

THIS PLACE HAS A STRICT 12:00 CURFEWBesides that, the woman checking in on the front desk seemed nice and the house looked clean and comfortable, but, as I planned on staying out later than midnight, I had to book 2 new nights at other guesthouses. Nothing against the place, but they and the websites that book them need to make it extremely clear if they are going to have such a policy.

It was my first time staying at a guest house, so I can't compare it to others, but I was satisfied.Toilets, sinks, and showers are shared, and towels are available for a fee. It was said that the room was generally kept clean and that extra futons could be added. It's close to Kyoto University, so it's convenient to have restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the station, but there's a 24-hour supermarket nearby, and the guesthouse has a microwave and toaster, so I was able to save money on food by buying things to take home. I stayed with him for a long time (5 days) for training, and it was very nice to have storage space next to the bed. It's close to the university, so there are lots of restaurants nearby. Of course, there is a restaurant on the first floor of the accommodation facility at night.

Clean premises but very strict owner who did not like me laying my bag on the bed as it was 'fragile'?? Comfortable beds but very poor quality bed linen. No bath towels but there are tea towels in the shared kitchen for emergencies.  …
