I often go to Kyoto for work, and I wish I had known about this ryokan sooner. It feels like a nostalgic inn with an indescribable calm and tranquility that gives off the scent of the Showa era.Breakfast is already the best. I had so much food that I didn't even need lunch. I was surprised that this meal was included in the price.I recommend it for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. However, as is typical of a Gion inn, there is a curfew, so it may not be suitable for those who like to drink until late at night. It was a very nice inn with the cheerful and kind nature of the landlady.

We were asked to leave our luggage first, and the landlady kindly guided us through the back alley to the restaurant we had reserved for lunch. It was fun to walk through the quaint alleys and talk about the townscape. The bath was spacious and I could stretch my legs comfortably, so it was relaxing. The breakfast was really delicious and I ended up eating way too much. The rice was glossy and chewy, and it was the most delicious meal I had anywhere on this trip!My slender daughter, who usually eats a lot of food, ate all three meals.I was able to enjoy the small garden and there was a sunken kotatsu. It was relaxing. If I have a chance to go to Kyoto again,I would definitely like to stay at Fukuya.I omitted the image because it is the same as everyone else.

I highly recommend it.The reservation was made through Rakuten Travel. Enjoy a trip to Kyoto at a reasonable price! It looks like a former townhouse, and the unique entrance near the entrance is also unusual.Breakfast is also eaten in a private room in a separate room, and the garden is also very picturesque, so I thought it would be nice to come during the snowy season. And since it was delicious and I ate all of the hitsu, I was thinking of eating it while walking around Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but I didn't need lunch 😂The landlady was also kind and I will definitely come back when I go to Kyoto again!

There is one room on the second floor. I felt calm. It is convenient for sightseeing as it is close to Yasaka Shrine, Kodaiji Temple, and Gion.

Machiya ryokan in Gion. You'll feel like you've traveled to Kyoto. The bathroom was large enough for a family of three, and the breakfast was also good.
