Typically Japanese house. Watch out for bumps for those over 1.65. If you suffer from back pain living on the ground can be a problem.

We spent 4 nights in the house to discover Kyoto. Very well located, close to buses and lively neighborhoods, the house is also fully equipped (washing machine, household appliances) and we were able to experience sleeping on futons — which, contrary to our expectations, were as comfortable as any mattress!Warmly welcomed by Charlie and Claire, they gave us advice and places to visit and were always reachable before and during the stay, which made our visit to Kyoto even more pleasant.

An ancient B&B located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The strong Japanese style and modern kitchen and bathroom facilities make staying at Kiyomizu-an a good choice when visiting Kyoto. The B&B space is mainly composed of three rooms and a living room arranged with traditional tatami mats, plus an independent dining table space connected to the kitchen. There are bathrooms and washrooms on the first and second floors, which adds great convenience when multiple people stay. The B&B also provides a number of electric bicycles, which gives you an additional leisure time option when entering and exiting major attractions in Kyoto. The B&B has its own spacious parking space, making it the first choice for self-driving travel. The parking space is large enough to park an eight-seater SUV, but the front of the car will protrude slightly onto the sidewalk, so be careful when entering or exiting. In addition, the room is facing the road. Although the traffic flow is very low, the quietness of the room facing the road will be affected to some extent. In summary, this is a very suitable accommodation option for a group to visit Kyoto by car. Staying at Qingmizuan will add more Japanese flavor to the trip to Kyoto.

If you want to feel like in a Japanese house, I recommend it. Place close to attractions. The host was very communicative.

Conveniently located 10 minutes by taxi from Kyoto Station and within walking distance of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Chishaku-in Temple, Sanjusangen-do Temple, and Kyoto Museum of Art.While the old-fashioned townhouse remains, the water area is new and clean! The entire building is rented out, making it ideal for family gatherings.

Super friendly and accommodating, a great place to stay with a large group. Check-in and check-out is contactless and super convenient, and they were super nice in granting our request for an early check-in. They even gave us more time to leave at the end because there was no booking the next day. All in all a great experience with the hosts. Only slight caveat is that it's located quite far from town and up a slight hill and doesn't have a great public transport connection. If you're fit, however, that really doesn't pose to much of a problem.
