I really like the location of this hotel, not long after Dongshan Station. Eating nearby is also very convenient. There are McDonald's, izakaya, skewers, etc. not far away.Self-service check-in is also very convenient, eliminating many inconveniences in language communication.The bathroom, room and bed are also quite neat and clean. When you enter the room, you can smell the faint aroma of wood.The best thing is that there is also a 24-hour capsule coffee machine that can be used anytime and anywhere, which is extremely convenient for travelers.

As we wanted to stay in Kyoto for a whole week, we put a bit more research into booking this accommodation up front and it totally payed off. The Hotel doesn’t have a counter and check-in/out is self service. For us this was totally fine and we hardly met anybody there which makes it a really calm place. Other comments mentioned that they didn’t have enough towels for a longer stay, this was not our case, we had lots and lots of towels in different sizes right under the sink. Yes, the rooms will not be cleaned during the stay, but this is something I find unnecessary anyway for a couple of days. Our room was the one on the ground floor right next to the lounge with free water and amazing coffee from a nespresso machine. The room is so beautiful with furniture made out of real wood, indirect lighting and even the garden (not accessible) can be illuminated. The shower, toilet and sink are separated, which makes staying as a couple much easier. Location wise it’s really perfect, close to subway/bus, close to lots of sights + calm and charming by itself. We loved to stroll around the little river. If you are planning to stay in Kyoto and this accommodation is available, search no further!

Higashiyama Hills is conveniently situated in my favorite area of Kyoto.Within walking distance of Maruyama park, Pontocho nightlife and Heian Jingu to name a few.The rooms are very clean, the design of the hotel is cozy. It is also situated off the main road, resulting in a truly authentic Kyoto experience with the surrounding residential area and small alleys. I highly recommend for travelers staying for one day, but particularly those who are staying for longer durations.

A hotel with a sense of design, very close to the Dongshan subway station, and the transportation location is very good.There is free water and coffee in the public area on the first floor, which is really good.The staff are also very kind.I will definitely stay here again next time I visit! !

It was a 2-minute walk from Higashiyama Station and had great access, making it easy to go to surrounding tourist spots! !The room had a Kyoto feel, the atmosphere was very stylish, and the shower, toilet, and washroom were all completely separate, and it was very clean.Water and coffee were also available for self-service on the first floor, so I made use of them a lot. lolI think it's reasonable considering the access and cleanliness, so I'd definitely stay there again ^ ^
