My family and I had a great time. Perfect location . Staff are attentive and gracious. The meals were delicious. I used the bath house every day while here and was always the only person there. Excellent ryokan and would love to come back :) .

The location is perfect, right in front of Chion-in Temple.I guess the building is old...I get that impression everywhere. There are various restaurants nearby, but this time I was staying with my son's family, so we had dinner here. The taste is elegant and typical of Kyoto, and you'll be full! It was delicious.Although it was an inn, the bath was quite large!I was guided by the store staff to park my car in a far away place...because parking fees are high in this area...

It was a great novel experience but I'm too far westernized to appreciate a ryokan fully. The staff were great! Interesting glimpse into a foreign lifestyle.

This hotel was the best one we stayed in Kyoto. It's a traditional hotel. They greet you with a tea ceremony and the room we stayed in was roomy and comfortable. We were close to everything and the staff was really friendly.
