Tomiya is a small inn located a little further down an alley from Kiyamachi Street. This is a wonderful inn that offers delicious food and hospitality.7 minutes walk from Kawaramachi Station. It is in a prime location, with a traditional townscape that retains its traditional charm, a convenient store within a 1-minute walk, and restaurants lined up that are convenient for sightseeing. You can spend a relaxing time while feeling the flow of time and the goodness of Japanese culture, while also being convenient. The room is a clean Japanese-style room with a retro feel.Although it's not equipped with the latest equipment like a hotel, it's a calming space where you can spend your time a little more peacefully than usual.Baths are provided in each room. If you tell them the time in advance, they will boil the bath at the appropriate time. It's a very ordinary family bath, but all the amenities are provided, so I don't think it's an inconvenience. I think it will naturally relieve the fatigue of your mind and body and make you feel refreshed. The breakfast includes obanzai, boiled tofu, and dashimaki eggs.It looks gorgeous, and the taste is of high quality.Every single item is very delicious. It might have been the best breakfast I've ever had in my life.Combined with the view from the window, you can spend a very luxurious time. This is a very satisfying inn, but what supports this is the hostess's attentive hospitality. Starting with matcha tea and Japanese sweets at check-in, it was a great service that was attentive and treated with an appropriate distance.I felt that I would choose this hotel again when staying in Kyoto. thank you very much.

My grandmother and I stayed for one night with breakfast included. When you arrive, you can enjoy sweets and green tea at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Kamogawa River. The landlady was very personable and I enjoyed talking with her.The room facing the Kamogawa River is large enough for two people to stay in, and you can see the Kamogawa River as soon as you open the shoji screen, making it really beautiful. When it's sunny, there's a lot of sunlight, and it's very warm even in winter. The accessories and flowers placed in the room and in the bathroom were also cute and soothing. It was very clean and I was able to stay there with peace of mind. The only inconvenience is that you have to carry your valuables with you as the door only locks inside.Breakfast has a large variety of items, is beautifully presented and very satisfying. It looks like the host is cooking the meal. It was such a luxury to be able to enjoy boiled tofu in the morning.Advance reservations are required for dinner, so I wasn't able to have it, but I would like to order dinner again when I come to Kyoto again. It was a wonderful memory, thank you very much.

I used it for a family birthday party and a omakase lunch course. It was delicious and you could really taste the flavors of the ingredients. The presentation and tableware were also nice. I was impressed by how delicious not only the main course but also the accompanying vegetables were. I was happy to have crepe suzette for dessert. thank you very much.

Is this a special Japanese-French cuisine hideaway for me? I don't want it to become too famous, but I think we need to spread the word about its wonderful atmosphere and deliciousness. We highly recommend the Japanese French cuisine served on the river bed from summer to autumn. But it's not because of the atmosphere, it's fundamentally delicious. So it might not be seasonal. The husband and wife run the restaurant, and the husband is in charge of the French cuisine. I think it's a good value for money because it's comfortable and easy to use. Probably, the course cost 11,000 yen. Is it an extra 2,000 yen for Kawadoko? Eating at Tomiya is twice as satisfying as eating French at a hotel. I came back for the first time in 27 years and was impressed by the deliciousness of Japanese French food😊

After eating here for the first time, I couldn't eat at any other Kyoto restaurant. It's that delicious. Japanese food and French food are both great.I started going to Kyoto to eat and visit the Tomi family.

To commemorate our 40th wedding anniversary, we stayed in the 14 tatami room on the second floor. We had dinner on the riverbed of the Kamogawa River and breakfast at the counter. …
