Very nicel hotel in a perfect quiet location with everything nearby. Clean rooms, good AC and a simple breakfast. The gentlemen at the front desk was very nice and helped us with all recommendations and filling up a paperwork to send our luggage to the next destination. Highly recommend!

Amazing service, the location is excellent on a quiet street but in the heart of Gion, so things are VERY walkable and train stations are nearby. The staff is excellent, the rooms are very clean and the street is quiet and comfortable at night.

Standard double room, one person + one person on the computer (it seems to be 22 inches), the room is decorated with a Kyoto feel, equipped with Western-style beds, and the street view is beautiful. It is easy to find food, but if it is a traditional restaurant in Gion, you need to book early , many do not accept walk-in.There are many convenience stores nearby. The only drawback - laundry is a bit far.

Excellent location in Gion, with the new geisha museum/performance right behind the hotel, just several minutes walking.||Rooms were clean, had Japanese decor (not a dorm-room look), staff pleasant and helpful.  …

The hotel is clean and the front desk staff can speak Chinese and are friendly. There is also free breakfast bread to eat. If I couldn’t eat in the morning, the hotel staff said I could take it home to eat, which was really thoughtful!

We had a very good experience with this inn in Kyoto. Our luggage was already in our rooms when we arrived. The location is great, you can argue that it can't really get much better in Kyoto. There was a map with recommendations for restaurants and how to get around the city. The only complaint is that the room was very small. It is a bit restricting if you bring a lot of luggage. Overall, we would highly recommend Kyoto INN Gion the Second.
