My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and had a great time! The hotel only has three rooms per floor, meaning very little noise from neighbors. Our room was very clean when we arrived, and we were even able to check in a few hours early. The hotel received our luggage ahead of time from Osaka and even moved it up to our room for us. The hotel is on a quiet street a 20 min walk from popular tourist areas, a 10 min walk from bars along the Tamakase River, and a 7 minute walk to the closest train station. The beds are very comfortable, and the room has great ambient lighting. The shower room was very clean, and we noticed a curtain by the sink that would be good for friends traveling together for privacy while changing and washing up. While the room wasn't cleaned during our stay, it was very easy to keep the space tidy. An overall great experience!

It's close to Yasaka Tower. The service staff are very nice. Even if I checked in late due to the train delay, I didn't overcharge.

But it’s okay. There are basically no people at the front desk. The location is generally not very convenient. There are many other stay sakura in Kyoto. Remember to check the address clearly before booking. …

Location needs to walk out to main road for local city bus, area is in Gion area, walkable to Main Street from nearest bus stop. Hotel is small however interior is decent looking. To note, no housekeeping service even though I stayed for 3 nights

If you want to sleep in the basement, make a reservation. The bathroom also smells and it's dark so it's scary. Spend about 40,000 won more and go to a better place. There was a Vietnamese person for lunch check-in, and a Japanese person for dinner. I didn't know the procedures well, so I entered the room, but they asked me to show my passport and asked me to come up to the first floor to ask for 400 yen to pay for Kyoto for one day. It was inconvenient in many ways.
