Just 5 steps away and you'll find the ocean right below your eyes. The owner is a former fisherman, and he used to clean the fish he caught and serve it to guests, but now that he's getting older, he doesn't do this as often anymore. However, the service provided by the female staff is excellent.

Thank you for your help in May! The response from all the staff is also wonderful! The location is great, right in front of the sea. It seems that there are many regular customers. We only stayed for two nights due to the rain, but we would like to stay longer. Thank you for your help on my bike trip! Thanks to all of you, I was able to successfully complete my subsequent bike trip around Japan. Thank you for your warm hospitality🙇!! ️From Amami number

I called them that afternoon as I was on a solo motorcycle trip, and they kindly answered. While having a delicious dinner that was not extravagant but warm and hearty, I shared drinks with my comrades (lol) who knew YH (youth hostel) from the Showa era. After the meal, I met my father, a fisherman who has been a parent for 60 years (!), We had a really fun time talking about all sorts of things with the helper's lady, who had a nice and gentle atmosphere. It's been several decades since I stayed at YH, since my student days, and it felt like I was reliving those fun days. The room was a Japanese-style room, and I opened the window facing east and saw the color of the sea alone (lol). It was so quiet and beautiful that I wanted to stare at it forever. The bath and toilet were new and clean, but the shared bath is the size of a home, so if you're staying in a group, it might be a good idea to take a bath at a hot spring or public bath before coming. There used to be more than 500 YHs across the country, but these days there are only about 200, and some people mistake them for youth "hotels," but they are actually "simple accommodations" with no towels or toothbrushes (including sales). So just in case.By the way, futon sheets are provided, but if you bring your own "sleeping sheets" you will receive a slight discount on the usage fee, just like in the past.I thought, ``There's no one like that these days lol'', but apparently there's only one of them among the regulars (lol).I also have something that my mother made for me 48 years ago that I put away because I couldn't throw it away, so I'll definitely bring it with me the next time I use YH (lol). My parents were elderly and they said they didn't know how long they would be able to continue, but if I had the chance, I would definitely like to come back.

I have stayed there many times. The rice is delicious, especially the fish. The master is a fisherman and will serve you the fish and squid he has caught. The location is great, right in front of the ocean, perfect for fishing enthusiasts. There are plenty of fish, so you can catch a lot of fish. Time passes differently, so you can relax without fishing. I highly recommend it. However, we are currently closed due to Corona.

It was a comfortable youth hostel that lived up to its reputation. The parents seem to be over 80 years old, but they still catch delicious fish for us 🐟The helpers are kind and the food is delicious! The dormitory is 8 tatami mats and has a room for 4 people! There is no bed, just a futon. The facility is clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable stay.Youth hostel members pay 5,100 yen for one night and two meals. You can see the sea from your meal/room 😊The roads in this area are narrow and difficult to navigate, so I think it's better to check in while it's daylight. This is a youth hostel that I would like to visit again.
