The reason I initially wanted to stay at Ruriko was because the name of a character from my favorite work was similar (Rurino Osawa from Love Live! Hasunozora Jogakuin School Idol Club), and by the way, Yunokuni Tensho, which is a sacred place, is right next to me. It's next door.Unfortunately, it was a weekday after a three-day holiday, and it was a Tuesday, which is a Tuesday with many regular holidays, so there wasn't much going on in the shopping district, and to make matters worse, the weather looked like it was going to turn bad, so I thought it was terrible, but Ruriko-san was the best. Thanks to my experience with Omotenashi, my memories of the trip became more enjoyable. The courteous customer service typical of a traditional ryokan, the clean, spacious rooms with great views, and the large public bath (I won't take any photos because it's a bath) are very spacious and well-maintained, and the open-air bath and sauna attached to it were very satisfying. It was. I also like the unique structure that allows you to see the entire bath from above. Above all, I think Ruriko's strength is that she is available 24 hours a day. (Sauna is available from 15:00 to 22:00)It's essential to talk about dinner, which we enjoyed leisurely in a private room, which was extremely delicious and extremely satisfying. The shabu-shabu made with black-throated seaweed and Noto beef was especially delicious. I've traveled to many places in Japan and enjoyed a fair amount of kaiseki cuisine, but I can say that Ruriko's cuisine is definitely among the best. The taiko drum performance, which you can watch from 9pm, was very impressive. It was a real treat to see the drunk audience, who had been a bit anxious before the performance, calm down as they were overwhelmed by the sound of the taiko drums. Beating the drum is a symbol of resistance against tyranny, and I think you'll enjoy it even more if you know that background. You can use the free bus when returning to Kaga Onsen Station, which is very convenient when riding the Shinkansen. In my case, I took the 8:50 a.m. bus to the station, and 20 minutes later I was able to board the Shinkansen bound for Tsuruga without any problems. Reservations are required the day before, so please ask at the front desk in advance. There were many things that prevented me from enjoying Yamashiro Onsen as a whole, but thanks to Ruriko, I was very satisfied and would like to go again. We highly recommend this inn as a place where you can come back again and again.

The open-air bath is out of order and cannot be used. Normally, I would like some kind of service to compensate for that!

I had been wanting to use it for some time, so I asked my husband to stay for one night, but there were spider webs in the open-air bath in the room. The tatami mats were also worn out and there were steps. There was no incense or aroma and it smelled old. The rice was okay, but I felt like the breakfast lacked variety. Considering it's old-fashioned, tea is also self-service once you enter the room. There was no one to see me off on the way home. It was the first time in a while that I stayed in a hotel that was memorable in a different way. There are no repeats.

I was very satisfied with the food.I also received a massage and it was very thorough and relaxing. However, some customers have bad manners!Even in the public bath, I was making a lot of noise and was having a bad fight with other customers who had tattoos, which made me uncomfortable.Even though I took the ridge of the star, it doesn't make much sense! It was just expensive. It's a waste! There will be no next time.

I gave it 2 stars because the staff at the group dining place behaved well. The information said, ``Yukata and obi are available near the elevator hall on each floor,'' but when we checked in with a large group, they were all gone in no time. Even though we told them in advance how many people would be allowed on each floor, there weren't enough people??? All three floors ran out in no time, and customers even brought their baskets to the front desk. Impossible! ! I should have put the obi in the room from the beginning. It was also the first time that there were no tea sweets in the room. I used to keep it properly, but... When I casually asked the staff, they said, ``We are short-staffed, and we have set up a free drink corner in a corner of the lobby, so please use that corner.'' The only information about the free drink corner is a small sign in the corner of the front desk. If you had let us know in advance, we would have told the customers in advance and we wouldn't have complained that the tea and sweets weren't included! In the past (before the coronavirus), it was a luxury inn that was used by many groups...It's a shame.

The staff training was very thorough, and as I was wandering around the hallways, multiple staff members approached me. It was amazing to see how everyone was doing their jobs while being concerned about the movements of the customers. We had a very pleasant time with wonderful hospitality.
