Had the most incredible stay here. The staff was so lovely and the hotel was incredibly beautiful. I have celiac disease (can’t eat gluten) and they did a lovely job accommodating me for breakfast and dinner. The food was amazing and I felt very safe eating it. Highly recommend spending a night or two here.

I stayed here during Obon this year!I brought my 1-year-old child with me, and the woman in charge of dinner and breakfast was very kind and helpful.The food was delicious, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. I would like to use it again.

We stayed here 2 nights and loved it. Faultless service, amazing food and the private onsen made the experience perfect. The kaiseki evening meal was superb, dish after dish with such attention to detail, and it changes nightly. The touches of generosity with all day coffee and after dinner drinks show it to be a special place. I highly recommend it. A particular thank you to all the staff who so gently helped us Westerners manage the protocols.

It was a solo trip that I was really looking forward to. It was great and didn't disappoint at all.I've never had to worry about dust or dirt at an inn, but it's been kept wonderfully clean.I don't feel any discomfort walking on the floor barefoot and it feels like I'm at home.The open-air bath in the room is the best!I was able to finish the meal in a perfectly balanced amount. Everything is delicious and looks great!It was so amazing that I delayed my return by an hour lolThank you very much.Breakfast starts now. This is the best inn filled with authentic items.I have used it many times and it is worth paying 200,000 yen per night.This is an inn that doesn't have too many guests and truly cares about each group.The food is delicious and the hot springs are great. The spacious suites are very comfortable and I often stay here rather than in a villa. lolI am always grateful to the staff.

It was a family trip with my daughter and her husband.Maybe it was because it was a weekday and it was empty.We received an upgrade to one room. I am very satisfied with the staff who dealt with me as they were smiling, friendly and made me feel comfortable. It has become one of the inns I would like to stay at again. Thank you very much♫

It was a very comfortable stay.The welcome matcha tea was a relaxing moment for me as I was tired from walking around Hakone that day.The open-air bath in the guest room is so comfortable that you'll end up taking a bath many times.I visited in early August, and it was so hot that I needed to add water. I started running the water about 5 minutes before entering the room and found that the water level was just right. I think it depends on the season.Since the room had a view of the natural garden, I thought I wouldn't be able to see much of the city, but it turned out to be a nice room with a view of the city to the right.Above all, the sound of the Minmin cicadas was very atmospheric. The Kansai region is full of black cicadas, and their meen-min cry is very soothing.The food is very delicious and filling.After dinner, you can enjoy drinks in the lobby and snacks. In the morning, you can even drink champagne.The service at the lobby was very good.What I remember most was the trip home.The website only said that there was a shuttle service to Kowakudani Station, so I thought that might be the case, so I wanted to go to Gora Park on the day I checked out.I looked it up and it said it was a 20 minute walk, so I thought I'd try my best to walk, but they asked me about a shuttle service at breakfast time and they decided to take me to Gora Park.The fact that Gora Park is about as close as Kowakudani Station to Byakudan may be one of the reasons why they were so willing to pick us up and drop us off, but I was very happy with this flexibility.I was able to start sightseeing easily on the day, which was great.

Long overdue, but I had a sudden craving for their granola that I had for breakfast and remembered I HAD to review this place for their amazing service.The staff here are incredibly accommodating and kind. They went out of their way to drop us off at the open-air museum and later met us at the train station to give us our luggage so we didn’t have to carry it around.Rooms, onsen, spa services, and food are also A++!I would 1,000% come back!

This hot spring inn is truly amazing. It was a very relaxing stay with beautiful surroundings and good facilities. I was especially impressed by Saki Takano's outstanding service. She is fluent in Chinese and English and had no problems communicating with us at all. Thanks to the careful attention and warm hospitality, I was able to spend an extremely comfortable stay. If you are looking for a hot spring inn, we highly recommend this place.

I've had the pleasure of staying at several high-end hotels, including the Hakone Gora Byakudan. Without a doubt, Byakudan surpasses its competitors in every aspect. The service, facilities, and genuine care for guests are exceptional. I only wish I could have extended my stay. The room was flawlessly clean, and the bed provided a truly restful night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, readily available to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is convenient, offering easy access to local attractions.Additionally, the complimentary car service to nearby destinations such as art museums and the cable station was a thoughtful touch. The Japanese dinner and breakfast were beyond delicious, featuring a diverse array of options. The snacks and wine bar were equally impressive. I particularly enjoyed the massage chair and the delightful ice-cream selection. I wholeheartedly recommend it

we absolutely loved our two night stay here - one of the highlights from our first trip to japan. the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary! we greatly enjoyed the private onsen, shuttle, amazing dinner, and especially the quality of service. we will be recommending this place to everyone we know!

After a day of exploring Hakone OR averaging 20000 steps in Tokyo, this is the place to go for a retreat.The service is impeccable and the private onsen was amazing.I’ve eat at numerous Michelin/ high Tabelog rated restaurants across Japan and the breakfast and dinner experience is definitely up amongst those experiences.The price is a bit steep but it is worth every cent.
