This place was FANTASTIC!! Our room was so large we thought it was a mistake. We had a table, sleeping area, then a second sitting room with a private sink. Additional sinks and mirrors were just outside our room, with private bathrooms and showers on our floor. The beds were very comfortable, and if you need to double up on mattresses or pillows, there are extra ones in the closet!Slippers were provided, as were fresh towels and yukatas every day.A 7-eleven is right around the corner, which has a machi bike station so you can rent a bike to explore Kanazawa!Bungo and his mother were very kind and helpful our entire stay, and even helped my friend ship his bags to the next hotel in Kyoto. He also provided excellent restaurant recommendations (he has a google list saved that he can share with your phone!) and he helped us make dinner reservations! My friend and I would 100% stay here again. Thank you for having us!I wanted to add the most special thing about this spot is the care, attention, and hard work that obviously goes into running this ryokan. I would recommend it anyone looking for a wonderful experience in Kanazawa.

A perfect Ryokan from which to visit Kanazawa. Bungo and his mother (the hosts) treated me phenomenally and did everything they could to help and show me the places of interest in the city. I would repeat without hesitation!

Host Bungo helped us make the most of our time in Kanazawa by annotating a map for us and giving us advice. He also explained the features of the ryokan. We took advantage of the bath located there. Location near main sites in town. Be sure to see the Phonograph Museum, just two blocks away. They will demo the 100-year old phonographs, which is a remarkable experience!

Central location, just minutes from everything you have planned to visit within the city. The rooms are in a traditional style that takes you back to the era.The service is impeccable, both are very nice, and the man speaks very good English for better communication. The place is super good, you have the option to bathe in a traditional common bathroom or a more private shower. In short, it is a very good option to stay in Kanazawa.

Although it is located fairly close to tourist spots such as Omicho Market and Higashi Chaya District, we were able to stay quietly away from the hustle and bustle. However, I was a little worried that I could hear noises and voices coming from nearby rooms.Amenities such as toothbrushes, yukatas, towels, and hair dryers were provided. The refrigerator is shared.Accommodation is relatively inexpensive, and it is suitable for small groups such as solo travelers or two-person travelers. The staff's response is very good. I would like to use it again on my next visit.

Our stay at Ryokan Yamamuro was really amazing.Bungo and his mom are the best hosts you can ask for: they are hospitable, accommodating, helpful, and have great care for the guest and the Ryokan, which is in pristine condition.I highly recommend a stay at this Ryokan; it is an experience you won't want to miss.
