Nice little cozy craft beer bar good for both travelers and locals. Great selection of Japanese craft beer with ever changing menu. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about Japanese craft beer. I will definitely stop again if I’m ever back in Otaru. No comment about the hostel as I only stopped by for beers and did not stay overnight.

Love the double bed tatami room. Simple and cozy. Near to the souvenir streets and Otaru canal. Equipped with public areas - living hall, pantry, toilets and bath. Sipping our free drinks on the house for the hostel guests. Shampoo, bath, hair blower, earplugs are free to use, except the towel and toothbrush is chargeable.

We were on the second floor in a private twin room! Very clean and quiet, but it was a little inconvenient that the bathrooms and showers were downstairs. There is no lift, so you'll have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

When I stay at a hostel, I usually feel like I own too many things. The less you own, the more free you are. It's a good hostel.

Cozy place, good music and friendly staff. The beer list is small but very tasty and they have a beer fridge that has a good selection. Loved this place.

The place is old, but very clean and comfortable. The AC in my room was very nice for the heatwave. The location is a bit far from the station if you're carrying luggage, but close to the central streets of Otaru and the canal. I stayed on a Thursday, so the bar was closed and the place was pretty quiet. Had a bit of trouble finding someone to drop off my luggage, but once I called them they picked up promptly and helped store it. I emailed them to make the booking, and the price via that was unbeatable for what was offered (got a free welcome drink too)! Also, nice staff.

Stayed in tatami room. Just two bed, the bare minimum to charge your phone and sleep for the night. The shared area is really nice. Location is good, 15 minutes walk to JR Otaru Station. The room comes with a free draft beer in the tap room.

A great selection of beers, the senbei flavoured beer in particular was very interesting. Slightly on the pricey side but a nice place to come and chat with others. The staff were very friendly.
