This is a wonderful guesthouse with a view of the sea in front.I was able to stay there feeling like I was Studio Ghibli's 'Kiki's Delivery Service'.There was a friendly host who asked where I was going, and it rained the day I went, so I was able to fall into a deep sleep while listening to the sound of rain hitting the tin roof.

I got to stay here shortly after it re-opened post a 3 year shut down. The owner and the staff are hard workers and are continuing to make improvements as they go. I was lucky enough to hang out with them one of the nights I was there. I adore the retro electronics and record players. It is a place you can simply enjoy staring out the window. I stopped here on a bicycle trip, just know you have a steep climb to get to the house, though I found it well worth it! Right near Hakodate Park, a Lawson is close and I think the nearest market is 2 km away, a nice walk, or you can catch the tram in front of the Lawson. If I ever come back to Hakodate, this will be where I stay.
