A highly recommended campground located 10 minutes by car from Matsushima, one of Japan's three most scenic views. And it's cheap (500 yen for solo). When I visited on Wednesday, it was reserved. There were no outside lights and it was pitch black, so I was able to enjoy the bonfire and the starry sky while listening to the occasional sound of the Tohoku Main Line rails. It seems that many people enjoy camping with their families on the weekends, so you may not be able to immerse yourself in your own world. Additionally, you can park your car alongside the road, which is convenient for carrying luggage (I ended up staying in the car as I was having trouble setting up a tent). The toilet had a flush (no washlet), and the washing area had only one tap.

It's almost an auto campsite.Depending on the site, there are smaller sections for solo camps and larger sections for group camps. It's a very quiet place.

I used it for camping in May.It was a same-day reservation, but there was no problem. He was kind.As for bears, surveillance cameras were installed two or three years ago? It was said that it was seen somewhere. It's the same everywhere in Tohoku. It was late May, so it was still a little cold.I put up a tarp, parked my car next to it, and slept in the car.shrine? There was a torii gate nearby, so it had a strange, otherworldly feel to it, which was also nice.It was a large place and was almost reserved. The toilet is a 1 minute walk from the site. This is the hut in the photo.6/3 P.S.I definitely went with a same-day reservation, but for some reason I was denied by the reply. I don't understand what that means.Even if you cannot currently make a same-day reservation, I think there is a way to let them know. Definitely because I went in May 2023 with a same-day reservation. If you receive a response that doesn't make sense, you'll quickly become disappointed.

(-"-;) It's close and the cost is 500 yen, but cars can't enter the lawn and tents are closed.Side street parking. There is only one water sourceIs it a little inconvenient because it's far away from where you can pitch your tent?

I think it's great for those camping solo on a motorcycle, as the site is spacious and you can park your motorcycle next to the tent. I didn't go this time, but there seems to be a hot spring within walking distance.

It's close to tourist spots, and there are convenience stores, home centers, and supermarkets within a 5-15 minute bike ride. The toilet is very clean. The nightly fee is 500 yen for a solo tent. A regular tent costs 1,000 yen. The tarp was 1,000 yen.

It was empty on weekdays, and although it wasn't a large site, it was nice to be able to relax.Check-in is at 1pm, which is frustrating for people who want to go early, but it's great to be able to quickly set up a place solo and drink alcohol from noon at 2pm.The usage fee is also set with solo guests in mind (500 yen without a tarp for Gunmaku), so it may be difficult for families to use places where the kitchen is just a simple sink, and 1000 yen. It's good because there aren't many people who are reluctant to come.Camping is booming now. It's natural to pay for a place, but if it's inconvenient, you can keep noisy families away, and if the price is a little high, you can get rid of poor-quality campers, so I'd like you to continue this style without adding more facilities.
