This time I am traveling with a friend’s staff and renting out the whole house together. I’m not sure if I can rent out a single room. There are more than ten rooms here, which is definitely the best choice for friends to rent a house together. I heard that it used to be a restaurant, so there is a complete kitchen and dining room here, which is very suitable for cooking at night. This ancient building is very tasteful both in appearance and interior. You must experience the retro architecture when you come to Kyoto. A room costs about NT$2,000 per night. I think it's well worth the money to experience such a room and atmosphere.By the way, there is a very traditional Japanese-style plum bath at the entrance of the alley. The price is affordable. You must go to experience the bath and relax after you go shopping in the evening.

This was an amazing find. My friends and I rented this for a week and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The building is historic, and just off the main road enough that you don't feel overwhelmed by downtown life.

This inn is located in the former Shichijo Shinchi district. It was very frequented by foreign tourists, and when I arrived, several people were smoking outside, probably guests staying for a long time. Even though it is a former red-light district, the exterior retains the atmosphere of the past, but the interior has been almost completely transformed into a backpacker facility, so it doesn't look like much.

Quiet. Traditional. Foreigner friendly. I only stay here when I'm in Kyoto. My mother loved the yukata and asked where to get them so they sold her a couple at cost. Very accommodating people run this place.

This area is the old Hanamachi area. (Kyoto people call it "Gojo Rakuen" (red line)) This inn is also an old red-light district. |The structure of the building remains as it was back then. …

You will love it if you like the old Ryokan style dormitory. We rented the whole place to ourselves and cooked tons of protein-rich food. Good times.

Great staff, very helpful and they are English speaking. We loved their traditional bathtub after a long day and if you like sleeping on traditional bamboo floor it's great, for me I like my bed extremely cozy but my husband loved sleeping on the floor. They clean your room every day and they will supply you with slippers, a kimono and two towels each. There are a TV and an electric kettle for tea... or cup noodles if you bring that to the room.
