I used it the night before climbing Mt. Iwaki.I wasn't expecting much because it was a weekday in August and the price was 4,550 yen without meals, but the beautiful tatami room had an air conditioner! They kept the room cool even though I called 10 minutes in advance to make a reservation. There was also a refrigerator in the room, a clean duvet (although I didn't use it because it was hot), a TV, and a kettle, so there was no inconvenience. The hotel was a little worried from the outside as it was old, but the inside was well-maintained, the bath was fed directly from the hot spring source (it was a little hot), and the washing machine was free (you need to bring your own detergent). did. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so it's best to bring your own food and drinks.

Used for day-trip bathing on the way back from climbing Mt. Iwaki. The bathroom is small but clean.Naturally flowing from the source. The water was hot, but not hot.I wonder if I'll be happier if I use it during the cold season.

Well, it's a pretty remote hot spring inn, but it's a base for staying overnight without meals, soaking in the hot springs, and climbing Mt. Iwaki.

A friendly inn for solo travelers without a car. I used it the night before climbing Mt. Iwaki. It's right next to the Iwakiyama Shrine bus stop. A low price of 5,500 yen + bathing tax for a room without meals during the three-day weekend. Although there is no bathroom, the room is clean and the bedding is clean. The room had good wi-fi access. There is a microwave, refrigerator, and kettle, so there is no problem if you buy food. The hot spring is small, with 6 washing areas and a bathtub that can accommodate only 3 or 4 people, but the water flows directly from the source. The hot water is just the right amount so you won't feel hot even after soaking in it for a long time. You can leave your luggage with us even after checking out, and you can use the hot springs for free after descending the mountain. The lady at the reception was also nice.By the way, a day trip to the hot springs costs 350 yen. There are some negative points, but in conclusion you should stay here.

2023.9 visitThis hot spring inn is close to nearby tourist spots such as climbing Mt. Iwaki and visiting shrines. Although the facility is old, it is a very large inn.It takes more than 4 hours one way to walk from the trailhead to the top of the mountain, so using this Sanyo inn as your base is very convenient. There seemed to be a festival on 9/13.14.15, so I was practicing for the festival at night.Although you won't be able to see the festival, it seems that many people will come.In winter, there is a ski resort nearby, so you can enjoy it all year round. It is an important spot that is irresistible for mountain climbing enthusiasts.

I stayed the night before climbing Mt. Iwaki. Staying on a Saturday and staying overnight without meals is 4,550 yen including bathing tax.Payment is by cash only. There are quite a few day trip hot spring users who think they are the only guests staying overnight. After checking in around 4pm, I went for a walk to Iwakiyama Shrine.Since it is the season for ``takekimi'', there are stalls selling ``takekimi''.Because the hot springs are hot, there is no cold bath, so we recommend taking a cold shower. The hair dryer is in the shape of a comb, so if you want a regular hair dryer, you can bring your own.It seems that a sumo ozeki has come here in the past. The room is for one person, the toilet and washroom are common, and there is no hand soap in the washroom.Towels are provided, and single-use shampoo and body soap are provided. It's not bad for a night, but the pillows are very hard.I woke up at night and softened it with a towel.

It was a great inn to rest after climbing Mt. Iwaki ☺️The hall seems to have been used for summer sumo tours, and there are autographs from famous sumo wrestlers from the past. I was able to take a relaxing soak in the hot springs and do some laundry in between...Thank you for letting me use it for free and even providing me with a drying area 😭Although I only stayed here without meals, the human kindness of Tsugaru was an unforgettable memory.
