This hotel is highly recommended for those who like the Showa era atmosphere. The heartfelt and genuine service more than made up for the age of the building. The hot water was also good. It's also fun to visit several nearby hot spring facilities.

It is a ryokan that can be walked from the bus station to Beppu. It is close to places to eat and drink and has private onsen rooms available.

A really fantastically traditional ryokan with all the trimmings. Several onsen can also be booked privately in the house and next door there is an old onsen with a hot sand bath.

Inexpensive but cost-effective accommodation with hot springs. The facilities look a little old, but not that bad.

Even though it was a holiday, the price was low...As I found out when I went there, the building and rooms were old and not very clean. Also, probably because it was cheap, there were a lot of foreign customers. The area around the inn is full of bars, so it might be better to go with a friend rather than with your family.

Stayed for 1 night on 2024/9/21.I was very satisfied with the inn, but there was not much information on the website, so I noticed some points.I made a reservation thinking I could stay in a good location at a low price, and I really enjoyed it.8,000 yen per night for my son-in-law and me.The receptionist is Japanese and check-in is smooth (from 16:00). Are most of the staff foreigners?I had booked a Japanese-style room C, but due to the inn's circumstances, I stayed in a Japanese-style room B for three people.A toilet and a separate shower room. There was also a refrigerator, although it was small. The area around the toilet had been renovated and looked clean, but the air conditioner filter had some fluff.Well, I don't care.Free Wi-Fi has good sensitivity if it is near the entrance of the room. On the other hand, the window side is useless. The room is clean, but the only outlets are the TV and refrigerator. If you use a smartphone, an extension cord is essential. There was also a towel dryer so you could take a bath as many times as you wanted. There is a common space on the second floor. I have some manga on display. There's also a vending machine here. There is a tea machine on each floor. Please take a bath in the private bath. You can have a wonderful time for 50 minutes for ¥500. Book and pay at check-in. Before entering, I went to the front desk to get a key and went to the second floor. It was a cypress bath, but the hot water was left on and I added water to adjust the temperature. The time when you can just scratch your neck on the edge of the bathtub is bliss.Insert the key, turn it, and then pull it. I was at a loss. There are hot springs famous for their sand baths, pubs, convenience stores, etc. in the surrounding area, but there are also many adult entertainment venues, so it may be difficult to bring small children with you.For those coming by car, the road to the inn is narrow and has many one-way streets, and there are also many pedestrians.I use the northern route. Parking lot is also small. You can park several cars in the main building, but we have a light car, so we had a tough space opposite the entrance. 880 yen per night. Currently, there is no longer a need to leave the key at the front desk, so you can come and go as you please. There are a lot of stray cats.At night, I don't particularly care about the deals next door.Check out is at 11am. I stayed until the last minute, but I was a little worried about the voices and sounds of people starting to clean up other rooms from the entrance of my room. Now the option fee is 8000 yen. Very satisfied.I will definitely come back again when I come to Beppu again.Thank you for your wonderful time.

It's a bit old and small, but it's clean and has a retro Showa feel. It comes with breakfast, so it's not expensive. The hot springs are ok. It's much better than our cheap pool in Beitou. There's a shopping mall just out of the alley and a few steps away from the Gikian Temple. Parking costs 880 yen a day. The price inside the museum is the same as those paid next door.
