In early April, after I retired, I wanted to experience renting a room, which was something I had always dreamed of, so I stayed there for three nights. Conveniently located 3 minutes from Mushiyu Square. What's more, it was cheap and comfortable at 5,000 yen/night (including breakfast and dinner). The inn is a two-story wooden structure with creaky hallways and tatami-style cushions. The room can only be locked from the inside, so you can hear the next door neighbor's sex, and the toilet, bathroom, and kitchen are shared. However, this is an inn with a retro Showa feel, where you can feel the thoughtfulness of the landlady and staff who protect Kannawa Onsen's traditional culture of rental rooms. Experience the charm of the inn. I was satisfied.◯ Self-catering facilities: everything from pots to microwaves and knife sharpeners. There was also a coffee dripper. The famous Jigokumushi (Jigokumushi) ovens are located in the courtyard on the 1st floor, with 3 burners each, and one outside. It can be used 24 hours.◯ Toilet area: There was a shared Japanese-style and Western-style toilet seat, and it was always kept clean.◯ Room Every morning, a pot of hot water is placed in front of the door, and you can enjoy delicious green tea from the teapot set on the table. There is also a parasol hanger that is convenient for washing. We have a home-use refrigerator, so cold beer is always delicious. No safe. There is a washing machine on the first floor (detergent 100 yen). There seem to be a variety of rooms ranging from four-and-a-half tatami rooms to two-room rooms.◯ Meals: Homemade Japanese set meals for breakfast and dinner. In the morning, miso soup with lots of ingredients is a blessing for rice lovers. Dinner consisted of grilled fish, omelets, and fried chicken, all served with large strawberries.Breakfast is served in your room at 8:00 and dinner at 18:00. Wash the dishes and return them to the kitchen. We are closed for dinner on Wednesdays and breakfast on Thursdays, so menus for delivery lunch boxes and delivery restaurants are posted. 4,000 yen per night without meals. Available only in the morning or only in the evening. Suitable for long-term stays.◯ Atmosphere of the inn: This is a very conscientious hot spring inn. Actually, I decided to come here after seeing an elderly man staying for a long time in a leisurely manner on a certain program.Everyone knows the style of the inn, and there is a sense of distance between them. I had a stress-free time.I saw the landlady cleaning the place carefully herself. I had a really relaxing time, probably due to the calm and kind nature of the young and gentle proprietress.◯ Hot spring (indoor bath) There is one indoor bath with free-flowing water. It is a good hot spring with a very thin iron and salty taste that warms you up. There is a hair dryer. A private bath style where you can hang up the bill you are using while taking a bath. The hot water is drained after 11pm, so it can be used from morning until night. Please bring your own bath towels and bath clothes.◯ Visit the public baths: ``Netsu no Yu'', which is about 3 minutes away, and ``Sujiyu'', which the inn is a member of, are free.In the morning, I took a bath with the local people. After dinner, I was able to go out and have a soak and enjoy exchanging information with the regulars. There are plenty of public baths nearby, including Shibu-no-Yu, Shonin-Yu, and Jigokuhara Onsen. You can enjoy visiting the public baths while taking a walk. Discount coupons are available for ``Mushiyu'' and ``Hyotanyu''.◯ How to walk around the hot spring town: The narrow cobblestone alleys are intricate and have a great atmosphere. Steam rises from everywhere, and when you take a walk in the early morning or at dusk, you can enjoy an extraordinary atmosphere where the steam makes the sky seem hazy. There is a ``Kotobukiya'' nearby, and if you ask your mom, she will sell you eggs and potatoes starting from just one. We enjoyed a late lunch with a steamed dish set and canned beer. You can steam dishes as you like, so if you like cooking, you'll be fine even if you stay overnight without meals.◯ Eating out: There are not many ramen and soba restaurants. There are several pubs. There was a cafe for tourists.◯ Style of the inn: The landlady said, ``The inn is run by a small number of people...'' and that they don't advertise anything in particular. It seems that they value repeat customers and referrals. This is an inn that takes care of everything within your reach. It is a quiet and calm rental room that mainly takes reservations over the phone.◯ Other Wi-Fi available. However, the video sometimes interrupts. It's a low table style, so it's a little difficult to work remotely. There are steps at the entrance. The sheets were clean, each person could raise and lower the futon by themselves, and the pillows were hard. The TV and air conditioner are coin operated. Hot air heating using the heat of hot spring steam. Comfortable and free. Parking available (100 yen/day).◯ For extended stays: Favorite seasonings, my slippers, containers for what you can't eat, coffee packs, and a handbag for visiting the public baths.[Additional note] Available for one person. There is little information, and the inn name is not even listed on the illustrated map of the hot spring town. However, I was able to find a very comfortable inn, so I decided to introduce it to you.*There are many long-term senior residents, so I felt that this inn was not suitable for people who want to have fun, have a lot of privacy, and have a lot of demands.
