A mountain hut located on the shore of Lake Shirakomaike at an altitude of 2,115 meters. This year marks the 100th anniversary of its founding.Divided into a main building and a new building, the main building has the feel of an old-fashioned mountain hut. The shared room we stayed in on this day was in the attic and was spacious.Use the new building for baths, toilets, washrooms, etc.There are tables and benches set up by the pond, so it's fun to enjoy Shirakomaso's lunch and sweets, or make coffee with the burner you brought.There are squirrels living on the lakeside, and you can sometimes see them from in front of the hut 🐿️There are many huts in Kita Yatsugatake, but Hakukomaso is easily accessible from the public road, and the new building is so new that you won't even think it's a mountain hut, so it's recommended for a casual outdoor experience.

I stayed at the new building for one night to climb Nyuu. It's really clean and beautiful. The meals, both morning and evening, are full of vegetables grown in the mountain lodge's fields. Dinner was a nice piece of meat after climbing the mountain. There were several types of Nagano sake available, and the solo girls gathered together and had a party. After the meal, we could use the small room until 8pm. There is plenty of space between the futons in the shared rooms (mixed), and the sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers are neatly placed. There was also a large stand next to the bed, which was extremely convenient for placing luggage. There is no drying room. You can drink the water from the bathroom. However, since it is a mountain hut, it is best to save water and electricity, and refrain from using a hair dryer even if you wash your hair. Breakfast is also full of vegetables. Afterwards, they kindly provided us with coffee (for a fee) while they were busy cleaning up, and we had a very comfortable stay. And a view you can only see if you stay overnight…the night sky! Sunrise! It was wonderful. I want to go again.

Although it is said that the restaurant has been around for over 100 years, the staff are mostly young and have a good impression. The price is a little higher than in the neighborhood, but I think it's worth it for that reason.

6/22~/23 1 night on mountain climbing tour☺Leave luggage that is not necessary for mountain climbing.Shirakomaso...Takamiishi...Shirakomaike After a week, I returned to Shirakomaso and took a break with Hoozuki rare cheesecake🍰☕There is also a beautiful bath (shampoo and body soap cannot be used). Spend a relaxing time 😄 The long-awaited dinner 🍴Very satisfied with the delicious meal of homemade vegetables and homemade rice 😋Unfortunately, it rained heavily in the morning the next day😅The planned climb to Nyuu has been canceled.The mountains won't go away, so let's take revenge again 🆗I enjoyed Shirakomaso by eating cheesecake, dinner, breakfast, and lunch at Shirakomaso😆
